For me it's way easier to just right click to throw I tried pressing E for a day and I just lost every match as murderer Maybe it's just me, but right-click throwing is the superior choice

Tip: don’t spam jump, it makes u slower if ur getting chased or if ur chasing someone and people can easily predict your movements I recommend jumping a bit if the sheriffs gun reloads, or if u see the murderer about to throw the knife

in my opinion right clicking makes it easier or atleast for me cause clicking e isn't really something i have reflexes on so it's harder to remember
