सेक्युलर या धर्मनिरपेछ शब्द भारत के मूल संविधान का हिस्सा नहीं है। संविधान निर्माण के समय इस विषय पर बहस हुई थी। संविधान निर्माता डा आंबेडकर का विचार था चुकी धर्म के नाम पर ही भारत का विभाजन कर पाकिस्तान बना है। ऐसे में भारत के संविधान में सेक्युलर शब्द शामिल करना ठीक नहीं है, इससे भविष्य में विवाद उत्पन्न होगा। इसी कारण वंश उन्हों ने संविधान में धर्मनिरपेछ / सेक्युलर शब्द नहीं जोड़ा था। कांग्रेस ने 1976 में संसद भंग कर इमरजेंसी के दौरान संसद की मंजूरी लिए बिना ही धर्मनिरपेछ / सेक्युलर शब्द संविधान में जोड़ा था। जो कि कि पूरी तरह से असवैधानिक कुकृत्य था। जिसकी संविधानिक वैधता शून्य है। अतः भारत की संविधान सभा द्धारा पारित मूल संविधान ही असली वैध संविधान है। Comment from : Ashok Yadav, India |
