I'm in Saudi and I got into medicine & finished my preparatory year among the top students 1 year later I'm struggling to breathe and stand still in med school not sure if there is anything I can do about this, or just leave medical school But I do not regret anything I decide these days any help?

Have a GI exam in 2 hours and finished studying and reviewing and still feel like I haven’t done enough Been awake for over 20 hours smoked half a pack of cigarettes, drank 3 redbull, and feel like shit and an idiot… Still have no regrets and am extremely happy and fortunate to be studying what I love but it’s just hard sometimes

Here right now, 7 years of struggle, I finally got an offer of admission But I was ok with not doing medicine anymore Life is funny, it opened me to that door only when I was completely fine with not having it opened I see so many struggles I'm likely unable to go through

I really want to be a doctor, but i know myself well I'm not smart enough and I'm a slow learner, i often fail even with a simple task and I'm pretty sure I won't make it if I try enrolling in a med school I'm a BS Psychology graduate almost a year now and yet I haven't achieved anything no work experience, nothing brbrIf you are someone who once aspire to be a doctor, and now you're already in taking that road, please believe that you can do it Because if it is not really for you, you won't be accepted in your med school now and you won't be seeing yourself studying the profession you dreamed Stress, depression, anxieties these won't disappear You will feel it from time to time, all you have to do is to be strong everytime you feel like giving up Crying isn't wrong, doubts too Just remember why did you start 😊

I've started my rotations 3 weeks ago Sometimes I feel like I really don't belong here You know those gifted people who answer everything in a span of 5 seconds? That's not me I have to get up everyday at 6 am to check on patients in case any new case has been added to clinic and I really feel like I'm way too slow I've never felt this way before Last semester I was the top of my class based on finals grades so I really thought I'd do good here as well Attendings and residents expect stuff from you, so do the patients This is really tiring God I'd never cried for school or grades but I've had multiple breakdowns since starting rotations

Being a Doctor in and of itself is an enormous sacrifice that you not only make to yourself of lots of things but to your family too It’s never easy takes a lot outta you, makes you wanna cry your heart out sometimes
