If the company has only 100 workers, we can shut down the mine and help another 99 workers to find other suitable and good jobs If the company has over 20,000 workers, the mine cannot be shut down The only way is to find out what had happened and give the family of this workers enough subsidies and honors, make sure that this kind of tragedy will not happen anymore

My gut said shut down the mine News goes out and emotion is tied to it Emotion is money Investors may say no because they are losing money How can you sell the viewers emotion into increasing popularity and awareness in the business? This maybe the first and only time on a world scale that your business will be judged by the action of shutdown or open Though now, the business should have operating procedures that are followed which state the play after considering all inputs

in my opinion i would not shut down the plant unless i get down to the root cause of the death, i would visit the plant myself and talk to the other miners to ensure a sense of security in them and would next order for an investigation and try to get to the root cause of death, if the investigation views the death as something which generally happens in a mine or due to negligence of particular miners i would keep the plant operational as if i decide to shutdown the plant due to normal circumstances our business would not last another day as another death at another mine would result in it shutting down bralso shutting down the mine would leave the miners unemployed If the cause of death was unusual and something that can happen due to the conditions in that area, i would surely close the mine until the safety measures have been upgraded and until the workspace is not prone to further unexpected events

I am thinking totally different in this scenario , for me the question itself is not appropriate ie the question of shutting down yes or no is not gonna give any conclusion because as employer and employee of a mining company we are starting with ascertaining and accepting the risk involved in the industry and business If I'm the CEO for me its how can i improve safety conditions there and what i can do better for employees Give them family protection care programs, insurances and better future after retirement is what i am gonna focus on See there is risk in any kind of business we do so yes there is risk of death and injuries in mining as we go deep inside tunnels , we are gonna accept those risk and take preventive measures
