Notes for self so I don't forget: br1 Choose a card with no annual fee if you're a beginner (me)br2 Cash back is more straightforward but travel points has more potential long-term benefitsbr3 Best to get flexible rewards points to use rather than locking into a specific hotel or airlinebr4 Choose a card with a good bonus and minimum spend requirementsbr5 Usually the best bonuses mean higher annual feesbr6 Get credit cards that will earn you the most in top two spending categories (dining, groceries, etc) if you don't want to carry a lot of cards Comment from : @Carolina-cm6nu |

I want to take a trip to Manila, Philippines from either LAX or Ontario, CA Which cards (Chase vs AMEX) welcome bonus would be best for this trip? I've heard AMEX is better for international while Chase is better for Domestic trips Comment from : @CVNTGETENOUGH |

Is it good to have many cards or is it better to use one or two cards in order to maximize points/miles on those cards? Wouldn't having too many cards dilute the points as you now have many pools of points? Comment from : @wguevara86 |

with 6-month credit history I now have: CFU CFF CSP and AMEX GOLD, my plan is to downgrade CSP to CS so start next year the only card I will only pay for Amex gold annual fee and since I use food delivery a lot, as long Amex don't change the 240$ for the food delivery its pretty much no annual fee for me Comment from : @dengxinsilvahuang581 |

Question regarding travel vs cash back: I’ve noticed that a lot of the lower tier travel cards (BOA Travel Rewards, CapitalOne VentureOne, etc) really aren’t much different from a 15-2 flat cash back card, when when considering point valuations In fact, you can’t even transfer out BOA points for any higher value In this case, is there any benefit at all in getting the low tier travel cards? Comment from : @varietybacon6969 |

Agreed, people should always look for credit cards that fit their lifestyle Some cards are nice, but there's no point justifying it if there is an annual fee and you don't get much out of it Great video :) Comment from : @KS-jf6ed |

Dan - some things to note about trying to downgrade your card, and they're often not mentioned, but 1) it's far from guaranteed to be approved, especially if you've had the card less than two years and you don't have much of a "relationship" with the issuer, and 2) your downgrade may be approved, but it could be accompanied by a lower credit limit, which of course will naturally increase your utilization ratio Just some things to ponder Comment from : @sjg6158 |
