I love aloe I've lost a few But I have one now And I had in a location that wasn't getting much sunlight and it wasn't growing much I moved it to my kitchen On the window sill and it just took off! It has sunlight but it's not direct And for watering? Like you said, wait until the soil is dry than water But I place (3-4) ice cubes, directly on the soil, once a week and it slowly melts And that's how I water it It works better because it doesn't get over watered and causing the root to rot Comment from : Sylvia Nolastname |
Thank you… I am new and I have 1 aloe Vera…as you advised, I m going to move that from the window …gets direct sunlight I see growingbut I will chk for 1 month🙋🏻♀️ Comment from : Dina’s tiny world |

I recently took a cutting from aloe vera and placed it with a cutting from the insulin plant The water turned purple because of insulin The aloe vera rooted and turn a green purple tint I am wondering if the aloe absorbed some of the insulin properties Possible hybrid? I am trying to get it strong But think I need a more shaded area Maybe a more seasoned green thumb can try this and see results Aloe vera is already so healing and mixed with insulin properties could be a super medicine! Does anyone know if this is even possible? With aloe vera able to fight diabetes and insulin plant as well, maybe it takes Comment from : Fuq Outtahere |

Hi , another tip I’ve learned is , if you rinse the gel, and get the yellow goop off of it , use the gel on your family s skin as a natural sun screen , brThat way you won’t put harmful chemicals on your children’s skin , also I blend it with alcohol and a nice essential oil, to make my own antibacterial hand cleaner , carry that in your purse or car , , love your videos! Take care Comment from : Ella Sladek |
I love my Barbadensis Aloe Thanx for sharing your knowledge 👍 Comment from : April Michael |
I was gifted a plant less than 2 mtths ago that looked dead other than 2 somewhat green leaves it now has 8 leaves, 9" tall, with more sprouting I don't know if it may be a young plant, but the leaves are on the smaller thinner side 1" wide at base and they thin out I've been researching trying to figure out how to help it get fuller but found nothing yet Only thing I did to help revive it was to repot and kept it out of direct sunlight within 3 days the dark dead looking leaves turned a bright healthy green hoping it will get nice thick lush leaves :) Comment from : Christina Crochets |
In your video I learned about Ace Manning and it's something that I've been researching regarding the aloe vera leaf and what are the elements or the compounds in it that all the bases for these benefits and that I learned from your videobrbrYou are probably aware of this already but I wanted to share that I have reduced and shrunk and eliminated growth from my skin with the repeated application of the jail for example the brown spots that we get from the Sun and other of these strange things that erupt from our skin from time to time with the repeated application of the jail they have shrunk and disappeared with no evidence that they were even there so I just wanted to share that as well thank you! Comment from : Joe Piervincenti |
I have spent time researching what the elements are in aloe vera leaves and your video is the first one that has mentioned Ace Manning and I am truly appreciative of that because it gives me that much more understanding in addition to my existing understanding of the benefits of the aloe vera relief and I thank you very much!brbrCorrection please be patient with my typos because I am voice typing due to vision changes at my age and hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to say thank you Comment from : Joe Piervincenti |

Aloe doesn't like direct sunlight? That's news to me I live in Granada, in the south of Spain, one of the sunniest and hottest places on earth (the temperature in summer often reaches 40-45C), and my aloe plants - I have a dozen or so - have thrived in this environment for over ten years now They are positioned to get full, direct sunlight (I had always assumed that as cactus-type plants they needed lots of sun) brFurthermore, they are in normal potting soil, not cactus soilbrI'm sure the advice given in this video is well intentioned, and it isn't necessarily bad advice, but I can assure anyone growing aloe that it can tolerate even the most intense sunshine, and it grows perfectly well in regular potting soil Comment from : Zak Martin |

I am so glad you have popped this here! I grow aloes All over the house I generally use normal potting soil with perlite over the top All of them are from one mother, which I got about 12 years ago from a colleague, it was a baby I still have the mother and for the past few years, my bit aloes have flowered I have had a baby growing from the flower stembrI use them straight on my skin I take a bit of the frond and slice it open along the side, open it and just rub it onto my skin I'd suggest a patch test for anyone doing this, before you put it on your facebrbrI use it on my eczema, scar tissue, sunburn etcbrbrI will try popping some of the 5 year olds into some big tubs I'm running out of space though! 🌱 Comment from : A Life After Narc |
