I live in Indonesia, I have a friend who work as tourist guide in Bali, I never heard this news, Indonesian people LOVE this kind of crime case, so it is very unlikely that a case this gruesome and how beautiful the girl victim and the fact how very active Indonesian people in social media can be totally covered up with no local news and tabloid vultures jumped into it, and no local youtubers picked this case, so I don't know, there might be murder suicide case in a hotel but perhaps nothing this graphic in its detail thus never truly investigated especially with how post covid Bali is just getting back its momentum in tourism I have googled the headline, and there are articles around the internet but look none of the sites are major news channels, more like tabloids and unknown vague sources

I had dodgy staff member experience in Jimbaran resort&co workers protected her so nobody knew There is crime/robbery in Bali but usually non Balinese as Balinese inherit land but most workers are from Java, however Kuta area usually worseHowever,major crimes likely other nationalitiesAlso,there has been an influx of Russians/Ukrainian in Bali &crime has spikedBalinese are quite naive&whilst corruption is the norm,I warned staff that be aware of cyber crime&worse Whilst I love Bali,you don't want to be in emergency situation there&risk assessment is practically non existent I had my card skimmed in Bali by European lady&Bali needs to evolve its processes
