The reason most Indians like Russia is because, unlike the west, they have always come to our aid The US actively tries to find ways to snub India, whether it be by supporting Pakistan (as a counterweight to India's growing dominance) or by interfering in its internal matters, assassinating key people associated with R&D Russia doesn't give a shit because it knows that India won't snub them due to the historical ties The only other nation, apart from Russia, that India is very close to is France and Israel, that too because they are steadily replacing Russia as the active arms partner in a lot of key areas They US maybe the most powerful nation on this planet, but it lives with a constant fear of losing its place and that leads to bad decisions
