"We can do amazing things!" I'll definitely agree with that, this airplane shows it very well What I love about it is that despite its size it still flies amazingly well; not as heavy as you might think It's obvious drawback is that it's clearly not economical at all with 4 engines Comment from : Rix xy |
Àlways have been in awe of this plane!! Whoever came up with the subtitle of this video could have done a tad better "The rise and fall"?! Not really words you want to hear together regarding any airline!!!😁 Comment from : eddie stanley |

The only overseas flight I ever did was Los Angeles to Nice, France in the 90’s on Pan Am From LAX to JFK I flew in a 747 for the first and only time ever, it was great, what I’d always imagined flying long distance would be like, I could get up, walk around, climb the spiral staircase and stretch my legs, etc Anyway we arrive at JFK for a 2 hour layover, I was expecting to get back on that 747 for the much longer leg across the Atlantic Ocean but instead they put us on this little Airbus A310 for the trip across the Atlantic, I was like ‘what the heck is this, an Air what ?!’ I’d never heard of an Airbus at that time, it was cramped in comparison to that big ol 747 I wasn’t happy, it was crowded and uncomfortable, much bumpier and noisier in turbulence Today airlines like JetBlue are flying little Airbus A321LR’s across the Atlantic that’s got to be loads of fun 😡 lol No thank’s, if I ever need to fly far away again I’m gonna make sure it’s an A380 or I ain’t going, yeah I know those have ceased manufacturing but their suppose to still be flying for a long time I’ve read Great documentary btw 👍 Comment from : Chris Strobel |

Whoever is currently running boeing is a horrible CEO He has to be Republican Comment from : Real2Real |
The real question is how many hours of flight time did “Ms Captain” have when she was hired by people’s express? Affirmative action (female) started in 1965, so my guess is she had very VERY little flight experience So don’t be patting yourself on the back lady Comment from : Michael Esq ATP, CFII |
I flew on one of the earliest Pan Am trips from Heathrow to Dulles in the summer of 1970 in first class That sky lounge was a incredible upgrade The entire 747 was an iconic, majestic beauty! Comment from : zi dar |

I can understand why the hub-and-spoke model for passenger airline travel was superceded and smaller, more fuel-efficient airliners prevailed What I do not understand is why the freight-carrying versions of the Boeing 747 and the Airbus 380 became defunct When it comes to container shipping at sea, the trend to ever-larger displacements continues, because of the economy of scale Why doesn't the same economy of scale apply to jet freighters? Comment from : John Murray |
Interesting, might fly in future now, liked and subscribed Comment from : Linda Donald |

18 wheels Comment from : Klaus-Peter Immich |
It had too much room, seats that were big enough for adults, plenty of engines to make sure the traveling public got to their destination without having to land in the Hudson Boring Seriously though, it was the adult sized seats that finished off the 747 My shoulders and biceps drag on both sides of a 30 inch door opening, that 24 inch seat makes me an unwelcome seatmate to vegans Comment from : Gregarious Solitudinist |
Nothing but fake news 747's still going strong Since Emerits can no longer purchase the inadequate airbus a380 Comment from : Jonathan |

I don’t know if it makes the best landing, A330* Comment from : Onslow Films |
You can't really say it was the fault of the aircraft, when the two crashes happenedbrLockerbie Scotland was definitely the results of an explosion onboard the aircraft, a bomb planted by a terroristbrLong Island 'witnesses,' say that they saw a streak of light shoot up from the surface of the ocean, and the aircraft fell into the waterbrEven the US Navy had been suspect in that crash, because they had several ships in the Atlantic, in that area, undergoing exercisesbrWhile nothing was 'proven,' the crash from Long Island was said to have been caused by a wire attached to the fuel tanks Comment from : James Lanning |
We need bigger planes for long distance travel 747 and A380 Less planes on the sky Comment from : Alex Chan |

I started my career as an Air traffic controller in control tower at Karachi International Airport Those days Clipper 1 & 2 were flying all around the world B747 had the Majestic takeover and landing It could land using short part of runway Even in case of immediate takeoff the aircraft was borne before our estimation I still missed those graceful takeoff and majestic landing It is life New innovation takes place brNow I am a retired aeronautical engineer Comment from : Iftikhar Alikhan |

with the population count going up, the pilot shortage issues, and the limited space (both airspace and ground space around airports), i can see massive airplanes making a return at some point in the future will there be a 747max in 15 to 30 years, maybe Comment from : commonsense 200 |
