The error with ending program is when you install it on system disk C, if you install it on any other, there will be no errors Or make program running with admin rights

The original/clone PICkit 3 works flawlessly using MPLAB X IDE 530 - and you don't need any other software - you might want to give that a try Demonstrated here youtube/Ffdsgl_HQ8c
