Very early in the intro it establishes that not all is as it seems Mia is acting strange and hiding things, Chris shows up and says he is sorry and acts as though explaining would be useless at that time because it seems as though he doesn't even have the full scope of what is happening, and when you wake up (PART OF THE DEMO AND THE VERY START OF THE GAME) there is a not that says their goals were to "eliminate the target" and to recover ethan and rosemary winters to a secure site That implies they were NOT secure and something was massively off The game leaves little sprinkle clues that I won't spoil in form of notes on desks from the 4 lords and some of the villagers I HIGHLY recommend reading on your first playthrough They will both add to the story and further juice up the little thoughts popping in your noggin as you go <3
