IELTS is BS I have sat several IELTS tests I have been living and working in Australia for 15 years My job is based on writing and talking, including proof reading advanced texts and lecturing at uni I am extremely fluent, understand everything and always scored a 9 at IELTS speaking However, for the other bands there is often simply not enough time When I listen to a CD at the same time I am reading a differently worded text whilst writing down an answer, I simply miss the next sentence which might contain the next clue And you don't even get a second choice In real life you are never faced with a quadruple task in listening This is not about understanding, this is about superhuman multitasking

It's weird but my main problem with the LISTENING test is my READING I simply can't focus on listening while trying to understand the written text of the questions I must suffer some sort of DYSGRAPHIA May that be the case -- or was there really supposed to be at least a short PAUSE for you to read the questions BEFORE listening?

Hello ChrisI've been trying to find a way to practice the computer-based test with Cambridge official practice tests but i've been unable to Whenever i search online, the ones that pop up are just displays of the questions on the screen, but not as the actual computer-based test is presented, so i just end up using the paper for the answers And for the Idp and British council websites too, im not getting a complete computer based-style question set for practice I don't know if i'm clear Please help me out

Thanks for the tactics and other tips, but I felt uncomfortable with the practice Because some part wasn't close to real ielts exam, such as, the speaker was faster than usual and didn't emphasize the answer (at least for rare vocabulary) Another point is that there were no conversations part between 2-3 people, it was fully scientific

Hello Chris First, thank you for the video The channel is extremely helpful I have just one problem that keep repeating itself: why couldn't the answer for the 25th question be "over 40 miles"? The person giving the lecture says exactly that, and I've researched, and it looks like its grammatically correct If I should write exactly what the person says, why only "40 miles" is the correct answer? To be honest, it is not the first time I encounter this issue It seems that they are always cutting some word, although the word limit is not reached for said answer Thank you very much again, cheers!
