I tried the paper method for a MacBook Pro Late 2008 model and it worked, except I used 4 pieces of paper because with 2 pieces it would boot but go all funky and crash Mines was also the bottom ram module thanks a bunch!

I have been having this problem for a while i tried everything and I couldn't get a reliable fix This did the trick and my Early 2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch has had no problems in a week I seriously cant thank you enough for saving my MacBook and my sanity!

It's 2020 I bought a Macbook Pro 2012 on Craigslist yesterday for $150 The same bottom ram issue of my bottom ram slot on my Macbook pro I fixed with a plastic straw while drinking a cocktail I cut two small pieces of the straw and placed them under the bottom ram slot But first I loosened 4 screws that held the ram bracket And I tightened the screws back in the end My Macbook Pro mid 2012 recognized both ram slots!! It works!
