Instead of pruning leaves, you can prune those leggy branches That will solve the tipping over issues and promote better branching and tree like structure

Is it ok to prune in fall? I acquired a Jade in Aug and it is very leggy and droopy I don't want stems to break and am hoping to relieve some of the pressure There are 5-6 branches lower than the pot and wonder how far up to prune

I inherited an overgrown jade tree that has been allowed to grow up and flop in all directions I’ve used your video to provide me with the courage to prune It’s appearance was about 12” but IF I could have erected the branches, it would have doubled that I’ve clipped-off 13 branches from the main trunk! brOver the next few weeks, I’ll be gently straightening the clippings and observing the tree brbrShould I fertilize the tree?

Something i struggle with when propagating succulents is most of the leaves rot/shrivel up when i just put them on soil to grow Any tips? I took some leaves off my Jade plant to try to propagate and lost almost all of them so far

This is my third time watching this video In my defense, I was coming when I first played it But, I bought a tiny jade plant on clearance at a big box store brbrIt has several streams with leaves I just repotted it so I feel like I should wait a few months or until Spring to repot it again, But I'm wondering if I should separate the big sections? Is not big enough, probably to trim the tops It did have a couple of dying leaves I removed, tho What do you think? I wish I could post a pic

Thank you Sometimes more than 2 branches form after a cut and not necessarily on opposite sides Is there a way to tell if that will happen before making the cut?

I have been growing jades for most of my life and never knew I could prune or direct how it grew until now I had been staking my weak and leggy plants as they grew longer and longer After watching a few of your jade how-to's, I can now say that I have successfully removed the staking and ties, pruned up, repotted in cactus/succulent medium and excited to see how I will train my jades from now on Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge! 🙂

I bought some jade plants at the grocery store because they were inexpensive But each one has very long leaves as the lowest part of the plant I feel that I should remove these to get the rest of the plant proportional Also, I have a feeling that the grower(s) knew nothing about taking care of jade plants and may have forced them to grow by supplying too much light when they were young What do you think?

Thank you unfortunately I let my 7 yr Jade trunks get so top heavy that it dropped w branches and pretty leaves hang down 1-2 feet like ivy that spread out on a table ! !! I did 35 cuttings even fork shaped thin and full But the tops and branches are curved Should I cut them back so curved top I can’t slant to an upright stem Haven’t planted them in 5-6 days some looking dry an limper Must do them quickly ug brbrI left 2-3” branches in bare trunk but I should cut them back to the 2 trunks Must repot this 8 “ pot too ! I feel so sad I didn’t do this sooner 😢 Is it good to put potted cuttings on my Fl Terrace with AM sun some just wilted already …bc I only had regular miracle grow dirt w/ o the perlite Please I’d appreciate some advice Thank you so much 🌱🪴⭐️
