upscaling older games doesnt tend to work that well because paradoxically you can see the shaders better So once you see them better you notice the lack of more modern shading techniques, because you weren't meant to see the lack of them in the first place Yeah

Now ithis/i is good reason to defend your choice of console I will definitely be getting an Xbox One X when next-gen comes out and prices drop, solely so my vast 360 library will live on I know the next Xbox will also be backwards compatible, but I prefer to give new consoles a few years before deciding which one to buy

Yeah 2-3 years ago the original red dead and games like pre ghosts call of duty’s looked the same to me as this gen But now when I look across a call of duty map or 100ish yards or more in red dead or these older games it about hurts my eyes because it’s so foggy/fuzzy looking This resolves that complaint

Maybe my eyes are flawed or I just don't know what I'm looking for, but I would never spend money on this "upgrade" because I'm having a pretty tough time picking out enough difference to justify getting an Xbox One X and rebuying Red Dead Redemption I feel like this is one of those things PC fanatics blow out of proportion There's definitely more blur to the last gen version, but that blur was something I never even worried about until it was brought to my attention I've always felt like Red Dead Redemption was one of the most visually stunning games for last gen and I'll probably just keep enjoying it on PlayStation 3 and save up for RDR 2 on my regular Xbox One When the One X was released, I just wasn't psyched like so many others I felt like it was just an unnecessary upgrade or basically a Microsoft cash cow
