I have a g920 and I learned that if you flick into countersteer really quick before transition you can get the extra momentum in the wheel for the self steering It also helps to bump the sensitivity up a tad It's not perfect but it makes it a little better I plan to upgrade at some point but for now I'm getting my money's worth out of it

I’ve been learning to drift with my wheel from trial and error slowly implementing tips I’ve seen on YouTube and professional drifters I can truly say the biggest cause is definitely the wheel motors I’ve found myself drifting better when throwing around my Logitech G920 to help get the angle right It took you explaining it for me to realize it kinda has to be done because it’s not powerful/quick enough to turn on its own I believe I could become a lot better after watching this video now that I know what to practice and how I can focus on it

Do you find that having a bigger wheel helps with steering input? I'm using a Logitech wheel and the wheel is tiny in comparison to some sim racers and real life for that matter Trying to make fine adjustments i find it much harder on a small wheel on the Logitech

how do you transtition and as you transition catch your wheel in place and your car goes in that direction without spinning the car like ?? as i transition my wheel is countersteering and i catch it and try to hold the drift but i spin??

First off, this is an impressive and intriguing video, first I've seen by you and after seeing it I'll be tuned in for more!! Love how you touch on "left foot braking" & "corner Diving in" & the specific limitations of geared/logitech wheels, the feel of throwing the wheel into the drift can be a nice realistic feel, as said if you turn up the FFB to increase for the faster recovery & counter steer needed, the battle become even more intense, wheel moves faster(self correction) is very hard to judge, & when you grab the wheel to maintain transfer or end the drift, the wheels force feedback can be even harder to straighten out or control due to the increased strength of the FFB One of the best vid for drift tips, love the "diving in" foot brake technique detail at 13:00 It's hard not to agree at 14:00 Great ending caught us all off guard n pleasant surprise tysm

As someone who drifts on a Thrustmaster TMX hybrid belt/gear system I think if I remember correctly And it took me so long to get down how to throw the wheel right to drift Makes driving the pro style cars difficult

Hey man, I'm 2 years late to this conversation but I had to say thank you I have a Logitech g920 cheap setup and I kept spinning out with this particular car pack I went in the sim and loaded the same track as you with same car while watching your video at the same time and because of your tips and tricks I was able to do 2 full almost perfect lap without spinning out I have never drifted IRL and also never used another type of wheel so now I understand why I have to throw the wheel unlike you! Thanks again mate Can't wait to get a better wheel though X)

im constantly finding that when i go into a drift i end up power sliding at that same angle and not initiating the drift, lets say specifically for around a a cone, ill just catch the drift but not go around the cone; ill just keep sailing at that angle when the drift was caughtbrbrin your opinion should i be pmnping the breaks more to angle the car while in that sailing or the gas or am i just going in with too much/little powerbrbrim going to be testing a bunch later but im curious what your opinion is aside from what i find gets me better results

Thank you, this is how a tutorial should be like 👍 had no problem with my G29 for putting some nice laptomes on the table, but when it came to drift Huuhuuuum I spended already 10hr's looking for the optimal settings and downloading 20 different drift cars 🤣 still things don't work out, but the LUT tip you are providing us with looks legit and gold Gonna try it ASAP And again thanks for this pretty nice tutorial, keep it sideways ✌️

I see this game as absolute crap I put the traction down to 0 and turn my steering on the controller all the way up and it still doesn't drift even with that counter steer thing I did find a way to drift: its called steer left and right until you start struggling to stay in a straight line and drift and hope it lasts long enough to finish a small turn without hitting a wall so hard you start seeing sounds, and i reinstalled it for the 5th time forgetting why i quit

Finally I have answer to my issues I've bought an unused g25 two days ago (The guy kept it as a spare one) and I couldn't figure out why does it feel like cars have basically no caster and have to help it countersteer every single time Now I have my answer Thank you

for logitech gear wheels i used a lut configurator for asseto corsa and it made the wheel more powerful or turn more realisticly give more detailed ffb look it up on youtube asseto corsa lut file configurator and oh shit now u started talking about it XD XD

You do not speak anything about Stability control??? I drift in real life and this assetto corsa drifting with 0 stability control is NOTHING like real life, only 100 stability control is just like in real life So those who are constantly spinning out just check your stability control settings, I think its 0 and this is NOT real life drifting
