@jetblackjoy
Taking down the illicit supply chains "for safety" is like banning alcohol and abortions for the same reasonbrbrYes, nearly all aviation-related products are dual use, but military parts also find their way to Russia somehow The hazard/effectiveness ratio of the sanctions is very questionable Everyone understands that children, liberals, draft dodgers and their lawyers have to fly on the same planes with the invasion supporters That reminds me of how many cellphones, clothing and washing mashines producers stopped supplying their products to Russia compared to oil and manufacturing equipment companies
Comment from : @jetblackjoy

@everyhandletaken
The flip side of the fact that they are using ill-gained parts, is that not doing so, means they are not replacing parts and putting more passengers at risk to a higher degreebrbrIt is important to remember that Russia (whatever you views may be on them from a governmental perspective) has ordinary folk that want to fly from point A to point B & carriers need to provide them with the safest journey that they can, whilst working within or bending the rules
Comment from : @everyhandletaken

@emmypuss4533
Prigozhin's last plane definitely had non standard replacement parts installed even as it flew

@anonymoushuman_rh
I don't understand what blocking reparis to civilian airliners gains for the west it's not like parts from civilian airliners can just be plopped into military jets
Comment from : @anonymoushuman_rh

@lockhart1895
public Aviation related sanctions are criminal

@nathanielfuggers
11:25 telegram was founded by russians but it isnt a russian language social media website its an encrypted instant messaging software similar to whatsapp and was created and still is located in dubai the men who founded it were originally the founders of a russian social media platform called VK but they left as they claimed it was taken over by the government it only takes a quick google search to find that out, please dont be spreading misinformation because a few bad apples use it to scam like they do on EVERY other social media platform and messaging software
Comment from : @nathanielfuggers

@tomaskulik80
Irkut MC21, SSJ 100 new, TU 214, IL 96-400 are absolutely epic!, the most important country in the world, China, does not sanction Russia so no problem

@rridder00
Why must the runway have a minimum width in case of desactivated brakes?
Comment from : @rridder00

@furistasTedis
18:35 it did surprise me that Russian press didn’t write that even with sanctions put on Russia , Aeroflot doing better than British airways 😂

@furistasTedis
Just to be clear, I don’t support putler, but we in EU are the only ones to feel the Russian sanctions
Comment from : @furistasTedis

@user-tk2jy8xr8b
Telegram is not a Russian-language social media website, it's an international instant messangerbrSo, are you saying that production of home-made conterfeit aircraft parts can be a good startup?
Comment from : @user-tk2jy8xr8b

@gushammerly5345
With the extreme sanction regime in the long term this will hurt sales of Boeing and Airbus, promote development of Russian and Chinese aircraft for reduced reliance on western aircraft These aircraft will compete with Airbus and Boeing or the market will simply get divided in to two blocks These sanctions are stupid, promote division, endanger the public, hurt commerce and international cooperation
Comment from : @gushammerly5345

@semibiotic
Party, who break their contract (including using "force majeure" clause), should be ready that other party will pay back with the same coinbrbrSo, would you please, back off with your accusations
Comment from : @semibiotic

@chrisg6091
tl:dr no
Comment from : @chrisg6091

@ghmh
so those stoled planes are now essentially userless if ever recovered or given back
Comment from : @ghmh

@Bapate-rh9be
This is not unsafe! Its simply a special safety rationalisation operation Also we are not crashing, this is simply a special off-airport landing operation This is western propaganda!

@gunthermartinhampel2628
excellent!

@notvanymore
Just a slight correction; telegram is Russian in origin, but it's actually a WhatsApp alternative used all around the world It just also happens to include some social media-like functionality, and it seems to be quite loved by spammers and scammers
Comment from : @notvanymore

@pst830
Does anybody notice he looks like a grown up Tintin from Tintin Comics!!
Comment from : @pst830

@CostaExtranjero
Well, they're not benefiting from the international regulatory protections anyway, do they? What can Aeroflot do? Stop all international routes? Go out of business? Stop the war? Since the west cares so much about safety why did they include airplane spare parts in sanctions? Russian military doesn't use Airbus or Boeing planes anyway Hypocrisy, that's what it is
Comment from : @CostaExtranjero

@billydoyle6919
This will bight all of us in the arse in a year or two No one thought through the 2nd, 3rd, 4th order consequences of the sanctionsbrDo we really want the Russians to be less safe in civilian aviation? brThey're not and never were going to just stop all aviation because of sanctions Seems to me the 'West' wants an Aeroflot jet to come down, just so they can say 'told you so Putin doesn't care about Russians, look what he made happen' I'm not defending Putin or Aeroflot, but it seems the sanctions in this case just make for a more dangerous world What if that Aeroflot came down on London or New York or Berlin It'll be labelled a possible attack almost instantly It only takes a spark
Comment from : @billydoyle6919

@Nahal0nok
The Moscow Times newspaper is a collection of anti-Russian propaganda It’s a pity that this newspaper was afraid to come up with a story that Aeroflot planes fly without wings, and not just without brakes The reaction to this nonsense looks even stupiderbrIn Russia there are many high-class repair plants for the repair of civil aviation, and the use of repair shops in other countries is a commercial business decision Trying to rejoice at the sanctions doesn’t work, and neither do the sanctions themselves Spasibo for revitalizing Russian aircraft manufacturing In 3-5 years we will laugh, but for now fly through the Arctic on Indian and Chinese airlines
Comment from : @Nahal0nok

@6teezkid
During the Cold War, The USSR’s airline “AEROFLOT” crashed so often that it was nicknamed, “AEROFLOP”
Comment from : @6teezkid

@ashleymeggan
They’re going to be flying with parachutes like the Soviets did back in the day If you can count on Russia to do one thing - they’re going to minimize the risk to the public while simultaneously cutting corners that make accidents more likely brbrRussia gon Russia
Comment from : @ashleymeggan

@P4hko
So seems like accident chances will go up but maybe not super much
Comment from : @P4hko

@user-ht2fy3rt3p
Hi , you always talk about safety first on flying, but you sound so engaged on protecting Ukrainian interest, by the way you put on weight stay away from geopolitics and lose some pounds
Comment from : @user-ht2fy3rt3p

@AndersHolck
Just as a side note, Telegram is not a Russian social media but rather a chat app, just like Whatsapp Just happens to be quite a bit better than Whatsapp and widely used around the world 90 of my friends are on telegram Been a user for almost 10 years At work, we have telegram channels etc And I am from Sweden Ukraine are using Telegram quite extensively and due to war, Telegram became quite known among people So, do not project this as a propaganda channel from Russia in your statements about it It is not a Russian product The author is Russian/French and he is not living in Russia And he is 100 devoted to support Ukraine in the war It is quite good app to be honest
Comment from : @AndersHolck

@alexdrudigmail
"We should rely exclusively on official providers, who NEVER lie to customers, in order to have safe operations"brbr[737 MAX leaves the chat]

@kimibaharev
as a person who lives in europe but studies in russia it feels strange to have to put my life at risk to continue my education, just because america doesn’t want to share some spare parts
Comment from : @kimibaharev

@suvorov525
Such a good public down below I should say that aeroflot will now stop their jets more gently brWith love from Russia Peter!
Comment from : @suvorov525

@jusyappin
The problem is AMERICA which one day will realize the problems it created for the world (we are very close) Europe already understands
Comment from : @jusyappin

@Nachiel
interesting, but in my opinion somewhat narrow article Of course, problems with spare parts (including brakes and brake pads) are only a small part of the “divorce” between the so-called “collective West” and Russia and the problem is much broader - the cessation of support, software, training centers, etc Well, apparently there will be a long-term withdrawal of Western aircraft from Russia, and a ten-twenty-year transition to our own Of course, during this period, schemes for parallel imports of non-original spare parts will be established logical conclusion to the question
Comment from : @Nachiel

@MrAvant123
So it looks like Putins government will be killing more citizens only not on the battlefield !
Comment from : @MrAvant123

@Jaromir-Druzba
Hello Mentour, brbrI'm from Russia (inside) I must say that most of what you've highlighted is spot on But the problems with Russian aviation was way before the sanctions even happened The issue is that the government control and supervision over this industry is not that strong as one might think Aeroflot, S7 and others are private companies and they generally like to shuffle the data and facts quite well I don't think that I will say something extraordinary, but the management of the companies is oriented on maximising the profits for their owners be it even at the expense of other things And authorities are somewhat "castrated" in this regard, unless some accident actually really happens It's not like during the USSR period, when things were very strict Therefore I was very reluctant to fly with these airlines in the past And since the sanctions came up - flying with them became a big "no-no" I prefer the railway, which has almost a military discipline when it comes down to safety, maintenance and precision Technically, it's a miracle that Russian Railways maintained the sort of approach, which was instilled from the times it was under the supervision of Ministry of Interior during WWIIbrbrOn the fact that Aeroflot doesn't want to disclose their suppliers - even if we might not like it from the point of view "transparency for the sake of safety" they still have solid reasons for that Because once they disclose their sources those sources will be hit by Western persecution So it's in their own commercial interest to keep it silent
Comment from : @Jaromir-Druzba

@tommiko8313
Sanctions are immoral Countries that impose sanctions are weak and gutless!
Comment from : @tommiko8313

@jamegumb7298
Iran had China copy parts for them Not all worked great Russia might do that for some parts too, if some of the middlemen already don't
Comment from : @jamegumb7298

@Curt_Sampson
19:40 i"[Iran's] safety record has been far from ideal"/i This may or may not be true, but it's certainly not supported by the article shown The PS-752 crash was of a Ukrainian airliner, not an Iranian one Further, one would have expected aircraft from almost any airline (including all North American and European ones, as far as I'm aware) to have crashed had they been subject to similar circumstances Commercial airliners simply do not fare well when hit by two surface-to-air missiles explicitly designed to shoot down aircraft, and I don't think anybody considers this to be a safety failure on the part of the airlines
Comment from : @Curt_Sampson

@Robert-vw3od
Sanctions against airline companies were a stupid thing to do
Comment from : @Robert-vw3od

@Robert-vw3od
The sanctions were a stupid thing to do, Russia will soon be able to make its own aircraft, and there will never be any money for the aircraft lost You’re losing all those customers

I recall the A300 “white tails” parked in Asia…no customers! After Korea purchase, Gauda Indonesia got the FFC or two crew “forward facing cockpit “ which Singapore govt at first refused entry Garuda called these planes “DC3 GT” Ansett Australia wanted them too but had Industrial problems as pilots refused to fly without the flight engineer seat Thanks for the history lesson of the remarkable A300B4!

and this demonstrates how stupid sanctions are and how they at the end damage only common people

@willarddevoe5893
Brake pads follow the square root principle, thus skimping on brakes only spikes wear Brake pads are not high tech manufacture They can be either relined or duplicated
Comment from : @willarddevoe5893

@VoltageLP
Why the hell are they still flying? I thought all their aircraft were arrested and confiscated last summer 😮
Comment from : @VoltageLP

@NyandogsChannel
Well, they cannot ground all of their planes and thus need to find a way to service them Thing that happen are expected I only hope they will continue replacing boeings and aerobuses with MC-21 and TU models or even start importing chinese planes, so problem with parts can be sidestepped
Comment from : @NyandogsChannel

@2138Dude
Russia is a country of idiots

@tonylong525
I doubt the Moscow Times was bragging about anything that might be construed as favorable to Russia Despite its name (and its origin), the Times is an anti-government outlet that's no longer based in Russia For accurate reporting on what's actually happening inside Russia, the Moscow Times is an unreliable source (Of course, so is the New York Times, as well as most of the western media) I'm merely pointing this out from a journalistic standpoint This does not reflect on the accuracy or urgency of your report I want the brakes to work, always
Comment from : @tonylong525

@bdh985
Russia deserves whatever consequences they get for unjustly invading another country and slaughtering civilians
Comment from : @bdh985

@morzh1978
Russian aircraft was not "stolen" from the lessors, it was "expropriated" as a counter-sanction retaliatory measure Governments and their subordinates do not "steal", they "rightfully expropriate" In case of disagreements, they can just nuke each other rather than bother themselves with kangaroo courts!
Comment from : @morzh1978

@pcgamingforevah
Moscow Times is western propaganda outlet which is being run from Netherlands Mentour, please stick to the things you know and stop falling for the propaganda hit pieces Thanks!
