Good evening i stumbled onto your channel after I experienced a problem with my LAN speeds,now our fiber has been upgraded to a 250 mb line but im getting capped at 100 mb on my pcIs that because my LAN cabble is capping it or is it my Realtek LAN network controller ?I have tried a bunch of options including your video but all my pins are fine and i have change settings suggested by guides but it seems to stay capped is their a reason or what do you think is the problem?I just realy don’t want to buy a new faster cable and end up not fixing itSorry it’s a long message but I really need the help

I fixed my because of this, I was using an Ethernet Switch in my case and was only getting 100 Mbps instead of 500, I keep on switching the cables because the 1Gbps option on the dropdown menu of Speed and Duplex was missing based on several cables except one I remove my switch and plugged in directly the cable from my modem to my desktop and VIOLA, 1Gbps was available and I got the 500Mbps speed back baby! Thanks and mroe power to ECOLOGICALTIME!

I am having the same issue , from the Switch i have connected CAT6 cable 35meteres (Green) the same cable the other end is connected to Switch on the this switch the light is flashing Orange and when logged in to this switch the speed is Capped @100Mbps i am not sure is the termination of RJ45 is not correct or may be one of the lead wire is not able to make the contact to the conductor Hope you can advice on how to resolve the issue

Wow thank you for this video, I checked two different cables and noticed a difference in speed I didn't realize that Cat 5e would drop down to 100 Mbps with a faulty termination (I figured it would fail completely) I was able to go into settings and found that this cable was indeed capped at 100 Mbps I'll recrimp the faulty one Thanks again!

Would you know how to boost internet connection for Android TV? brJust found out that the ethernet port on most TV's only carries upto 100mbps So if you have more than 100mpbs connection you will not get the same speed on your TV Thanks

Mine keeps switching to 100Mb for some reason But I fix it through Device Manager I'm not sure why it does this It keeps happening every time I unplug the Ethernet cable or restart my PC Is the cable the issue? it works completely fine after changing it from Device Manager

Is this a cross over cable? Cause mine is 100 mega BITs per second Yours is 1 giga BITs per second and from what I see, mine is a straight through ehternet cable, so I'm thinking this might be the reason

thanks for help, didnt think to check my cablesmy problem was there dirty after i took tape off them (i put tape around them to protect them while pulling through the wall) quick bit of light dusting, a little bit of hand sanitizer to take the sticky tape off 100mbps now 1gb thanks!
