I just applied a couple coats of Duplicolor acrylic lacquer on a guitar body a couple days ago I am planning on using Spraymax 2K Glamour High Gloss for the top coat There are many opinions online about how to go about using the paint and clear together Many say to wait at least a week to let the Duplicolor cure and lightly sand with 800 grit before spraying the 2K Now I’m confused after watching this video and seeing you apply the clear right after the paint Is it unnecessary to wait and/or sand between?

You can put an oil base over acrylic But you cant put acrylic over the oil base The reason is , Acrylic water base evaporates But the oil base doesn't evaporate the oil

Just fyi, if you have a bigger car (mustang, corvette, s class, truck, etc) you will likely need more than a can of duplicolor for a fender

Best buffer ever is the DeWalt DWP849 with an adjustable top speed thumbwheel and a variable speed trigger It was sold as DeWalt, Snap On, Craftsman, and possibly several others

An excellent trick that I came across that helps eliminate orange peel, 🎉is putting the can of clearcoat in a small bucket of really hot water, as hot as you can get out of your kitchen sink brbr I like how you have a garage door and you paint cars in your living room, that’s pretty cool😂 Seriously, that fender looks great! And making black paint look great is one of the harder colors Thanks for the video

I have been flipping few cars doing fixes like this mostly Honda and Toyota Right now I have 06 Honda pilot I'm working on I'll be doing paint repair after I get done with the mechanic stuff I can make 2-4k most people see that paint peeling they know how much a body shop will want to fix it not worth paying them to fix it I don't use the spray cans I use spray guns don't waste entire can of 2k one car it's not that cheap I buy a pint of paint from local auto paint supplier look for ones that are in industrial areas they are cheaper mostly supply small body shops The ones you see on main streets with store fronts will be more expensive I have a swamp cooler pumps air into my garage I shut off the water slid in a filter in front of the outlet crack the roll up door open about 2 feet let the air out keeps the fumes from building I never buy black cars try to stick with white, silver, or gray

Small hint: tape up the edges before you sand the panel so you don’t scratch up the adjacent panels 😉

So what if any debri/hairs or anything eventually fell onto it? Considering i painted outside? How should i go about it? Also another issue i have is my can wanting to spit blobs of paint and it sometimes will continue to spray after i let off of it for a few secs, how do i stop that? I wipe it off etc but some cans been doing it to me still

What is recommended for a Good flexible primer sealer for plastic bumpers? I have the Seymour PBE Flexible Primer and SEM Flexible Primer Surfacer and they work GREAT! but im looking for Primer Sealers out of a can that I can use Either a 1k or 2k but definitely prefer a 2k can that either is activated by moisture in the air, or has a 2 part chamber system inside the can Any recommendations!
