Raised in the United States, in Colorado, the oldest thing I’d ever been to is Mesa Verde When I went to Germany I was in a state of aww of all the old sites!! Can’t wait to visit other places in Europe! I’m also amazed how alot of people don’t realize how awesome these historical sites are!!

I'm not sure Harold dodging the arrow to the eye would've had an effect on the overall outcome of the Norman invasion of England Remember, the Normans ended up taking over pretty much the whole of England over the next handful of years They probably would've done the same and thrown as many soldiers at the British isles as possible regardless of whether Harold had survived the initial Battle of Hastings or not

King Harold was an ancestor of minehe was rather unlucky is all he was very fond of hunting I wouldn't be surprised if the mansion incorporated elements of that Norman tower stone etc maybe even the tower was the foundation for the manor Probably Harold took over that already standing Norman tower and refurbished it So yeah it's his tower sorta in that he occupied it Is there a way to figure out if the tower had been repaired maintained later after Norman times?
