1Temporary solution : Bring your ps4 hdd to a friend and plug it in there to update via their consolebr2 Permanent solution in my case: Replaced every single part one by one from a working ps4 and the problem was the Blueray ribbon cable It had the tiniest crack and that prevented it from updating New ribbon cable costs around 999$ or less Comment from : Poul Söderberg |

Could be an ps4slim exclusiv problem idki always had normal and a slim ps4 for watever reason didnt work to download the 1071 uptade on the slim i tryed everstep always get the su-42118-6 Code i just Took the normal ps4 out of the corner of my room didnt played on These console for prob a year or so Boom download the 1071 uptade and works no problem soo maybe the ps4slim is the problem sorry 4uall Comment from : Insanity |

UPDATE: So the good news is after reinitialization, although my games are gone - any that were purchased DO NOT require repayment Only re-download Trophies remain I highly suggest anyone having the same issues that cant get through the first 5 steps to re-intilize Yes, its a pain in the ass but if you cant afford a ps5 right now your best option is to give it a good clean and and start fresh Comment from : SmartMoron |
