I like gpu mining more because they don’t make as much noise, don’t give you insane electric bills (especially out here in Michigan), they look cooler, they are less risky because if one altcoin becomes unminable, you can switch to a different coin or sell the gpu since gpus will always have value unlike ethereum asics in 8 months, and they’re just more fun overall to build and overclock.

yeah, "life changing" for anyone who started a couple of years ago. I almost started back in 2018. I'd probably be worth millions. Instead I got into trading. Deeper and deeper into it. I still only lose money...that shit is so damn rigged I have tried like a thousand damn strategies NOTHING WORKS. Now I feel like if I start mining, as soon as I have like $5k or $10k worth of hardware, this communist government we are dealing with now will make cryptos illegal and all my shit will drop in value, and I lose money yet again. I swear I'm fucking cursed or something. Everything I try goes to shit, and everything I decide not to try "would have" made me millions lmao I can't fucking win.

Yes mining is still worth it if you're mining DPR tokens. Anyone interested in mining needs to check out Deeper Network (DPR) it's the next ETH or Helium when it comes to mining rewards. DPR mining only uses a fraction of the power that ETH does. All you need is internet connection and a power supply.

Bottom line. The amount of Bitcoin you can accumulate via mining. Factoring in the costs involved over time and the waiting period before those costs are recouped and you actually turn a profit. Is NOTHING compared to the amount of Bitcoin you can accumulate from simply borrowing against the Bitcoin you already HODL to buy more. Another difference is that when you mine, you have to wait years for a meaningful accumulation. But when you borrow and buy, the accumulation is immediate. The only costs involved don't come BEFORE (as in mining) but rather AFTER. In the form of negligible monthly interest payments that can be covered by Bitcoin price appreciation. This can be very favorable. Especially if you base your borrowing to buy in weekly or monthly increments. Doing so keeps your gains high and your costs down.

I was going to purchase a pc with an Nvidia RTX 3080 or 3090 a few months back, but was put off by the then overpriced GPU's. I am now seriously considering it and might take the plunge, invest in a pc with the 3080 and start mining and making passive income.

The only thing is the time it takes researching the vast array of computers on the market and buying the best possible one for the money I am prepared to spend.
