It seems problematic though that any Monero obtained through a centralized exchange, or by extension bought with Bitcoin obtained from an exchange, will be somewhat traceable The amount of money you put in is there, so what you sell it for is the question I was surprised to find offers to trade cash in-person for it That honestly seems like the only way to obtain it with full anonymity besides all the MS Paint gymnastics you depicted for private BTC acquisition

Monero does not do what Bitcoin does, the whole point of Bitcoin is resistence against all possible kind of attacks and there are several problems with monero; eg moneros mining algorithm is asic resistent (data centers are centralized -> cheap attacks as they just need to pause what they normally do) and it is not exactly verifyable (you cant know that there isnt an inflation bug) Moreover it scales worse than bitcoin (tx's are much larger) and the main layer cannot be used by individuals anyways if 'normal' people start using it

All my savings are in BTC, as soon as I get paid again I'm buying more, it was overvalued before so it makes sense it crashed so hard, and its far too widely accepted in literal governments and financial institutions to fail unless we get nuclear internet viruses that wipe out the internet or something PS I'm 19 so I dont have massive savings anyways, I use BTC because it allows me to recuperate any I need to take out in emergencies when it drops below whenever I pulled out, but I also desire it to exist as a commonly used currency as I despise the FIAT system
