Hello Dr, thank you for the insight provided in this tutorialbrbrPlease, what happens to the value column of the recoded variable from the variable view on SPSS?brBecause I noticed it did not automatically update the new specified values in the value column Rather, it was left blankbrbrDo I have to manually impute the new values to reflect the recoded or has SPSS automatically recognised the new values and uses them while conducting analysis?

@rtmt1212, I believe leaving it blank will cause SPSS to treat it as missing data, which is what you want
