It also has a very nice sound when you snap it open or shut! It sounds like a tiny bank vault slamming shut, like a lot of solid steel

Hmmm I don't know I feel like you miss out on the blade-cutting length with the Tanto I like the drop point more I feel like it's a better all-around knife Don't get me wrong I love the Tanto But I know it has its shortcomings Due to the way a Tanto works So yeah I'm sticking to the drop point It's a tank and its tip takes a lot to brake

I hope I don’t sound like I’m advertising here because I WISH I was getting paid to recommend these guys but if you want to see the SR1 and this knife and a bunch of other cold steel knives and other brands tested till they break in half look up JOE X here on YouTube (of all the knives he tested the cold steel 4max scout and the cold steel SR1 LITE were the strongest)brbrHe’s super underrated for how hard he tests his knives and how much he pays for them with his own money just to break them for us to see brbrAlso SnaggletoothMF makes an aluminum thumb stud replacement for the AD-10 (and other knives) that adds a wave feature to the top of the knife brbrI bought their plastic version for my cold steel voyager xl back in 2017 and now they make aluminum versions you don’t have to worry about over tighteningbrbrI’ve been using it on my drop point AD-10 for a few months now and it opens up out of my pocket every single time (if I’m trying to of course)

Andrew demko said starting this year, he is bringing the AD-10 customs back because so many people want them He also said that he has changed the triad lock up compared to older versions the full ti textured versions are bad a$$brAlso the AD-10 lites are available but save up an extra 45 bucks and you can get the non lite versions

If you haven't talked about it already, I'd be interested in whether you think the standard AD 10 or the AD 10 Lite is a better value as a hard use knife I've been planning on getting one or the other as my main hard use folder, and I'd appreciate some input about whether to spend the extra $50 for the full version instead of the Lite

I’ve got the standard drop point AD-10 Such a nice knife So smooth to open for a lock back I thinned the lock spring to ease the amount pressure it takes to release the blade

I like the grinds they decided to go with Just touching up the edge a little would make this really shine, no need to change the angle just a slightly more polished edge would make it pop Might have to pick me up one of these brEdit: I also believe there are several other clips that fit these models, just can't remember which ones
