I just talked to ECFMG, and they told me that in addition to National Medical Commission (NMC), which is the regulatory board for Medical colleges in India, being recognized by WFME, the medical college should also have a ECFMG sponsor note This is directly from ECFMG I called their phone number on their website

Hi, since NMC got recognised by WFME yesterday, I’m thinking of starting the ECFMG Procedures, but I have a doubt here… My college (Newer AIIMS) is on WDOMS with no sponsor notes, so am I eligible to start the ECFMG procedures now ie 2023 bcoz of WFME recognition?
