I don't know if you're ever planning on revisiting the orbital strike cannon, but I'd love to see a version of it made in the April fool's snapshot one block at a time if you're up for the challenge! In OBAAT two of the largest challanges are transporting a lot of items large distances, and excavating large areas, and the orbital cannon could probably be modified to fire the falling blocks the player can throw out for that first problem, while the second is already covered by the current design

now add a vertical flying machine, which moves the lower block (as you have shown manually) so it can do multiple layers and perhaps even perimeters to cancel the raycast, water could be used that goes all the way down (idk if water works but it would be easy to make it go all the way to the bottom)
