my ps4 wouldn't download the 1050 update from my usb, even though it was properly formatted etc I re-entered safe mode after 3 months and it allowed me to download the 1071 update online for some reason, after the download and update my ps4 gave the same message "File cannot be used, connect a usb with ver 1071)(CE-34788-0) wtf?? Rinse and repeat and it still wont work >:(

Yea no it didn't work tried another way by going through the safe mode and downloading it through wifi and it worked first try thank you for wasting my time and storage space

Thank you so much it seemed to workThe file names have to be exact format Fat23 I struggled with it I did it from a android phone to transfer into the flash drive without the computer However it brought me right back to the same screen However instead of updating I just reinstalled the ps4 software & it worked The only thing is reinstalling is like doing a factory reset
