Hi! brSo I’m a Prof/Architect and I’m also responsible for the mastersprogramms appraisal of aptitude at the university i teach We get a lot of portfolios that have exactly the things you just described as good Which may be the case for your country but we for example wouldn’t take anyone who’s portfolio looks like that Neither at Uni nor at my office So my tips would be: brDiscripiton of the project only in maybe 5-6 sentencesbrMake sure that the quality of the renders and drawings are really good and don’t have pixels in thembrDon’t include hand drawings I think in This Job it’s a given that you can/want to sketch out ideas by handbrYes to show the process is fine but honestly it isn’t looked at that muchbrDONT PUT IN pictures or discriptions of your inspiration! That makes your portfolio seem like a tumblr pagebrI’d say 5 projects ist the max for you to put into the portfolio More wont be looked at brAnd one of my biggest pet peeves is portfolios in which the visualizations are just sketch up models it makes it look as if it was made in the 90s brbrThis is not meant as hate towards this videobrIt’s just a reminder that not every tip applies to every country/uni/office brbrThis is an example of a portfolio that I like :br issuucom/julia_koschewski/docs/portfolio_fin_online/43 Comment from : Charlotte Clèment |
