How could a small operation make convincing looking fake coins? I can see the paper and plastic being easy to do but no average bum could make a gold coin that looks real easily? Any time high quality fake anything shows up, I think China, first That is currently a likely thing

The solution is not to buy coins Buying coins, baseball cards, beanie babies, hot wheels cars, etc - just not worth it in the long run As for coin shops, what coin shop is not run by a complete scumbag? Have you even asked yourself what type of person buys coins? A collectible coin is very illiquid It doesn't usually have a serial number unless it's slabbed People that buy these are usually looking to hide money Coins are popular with drug dealers, pimps, and war criminals
