can someone help me out ? I've tried the 1gig 2gig and 5gig plan and all my test results are always the same I have an iPhone 14 pro max an iPad pro 2021 129 an mac mini a ps5 a smart tv an android s20 ultra I mean dang the devices are well compatible enough to be able to handle the speed but when I test using that speed test that you use , I never ever get those speeds whether on Wi-Fi or hardwired annnnnd even with a cat 8 ethernet cable and hooking it up directly to the fiber modem nope still not as fast Please help 🥲

I have a 25g nic on my z690 board and a 25 g port on my router but my wired transfer speed to my external hdd will only go as fast as 30-40 mb/s the hdd is a sandisk g drive pro with a hdd capable of 280mb/s the router is an asus gt-axe11000 Thanks

For residential customers, they have no need for 1gig speeds, much less anything faster and that isn't going to change for a while Not that most consumer devices are rated for gig speed anyway

There's one problem with the cable argument, and that's Cat 6 cables have become the norm You can look and look but you're very very unlikely to find Cat 5e for sale anymore and if you do chances are it's actually more expensive than Cat 6 From my own experiences I had shopping for them

I'm hearing some negative reviews for faster ethernet Lan speeds in the US the average speed is around 250 Mbps but in Israel, the average standard speed is 500 MPs if you want higher speeds you can get 2 Gps and I've tried it at this point, there Is no real benefit to it 500 MPs is more than enough so even you have a 1 Gbs ethernet card you'll be fine for a long time

There are 10GBE Switches that accept RJ45 connections and for the average user CAT7 and even CAT8 cables arent that expensive any more and now QNAP has released a 5 port 25 GBe switch Not everyone is a tech giant like you

The value proposition for Cat 6a is very bad Under many network scenarios (especially for business), most Ethernet devices will not utilize even half a gig (desk phones, IP cams, etc), let alone 10 Gbe, which is why you want Cat 6a For this reason I continue to install Cat 5e side-by-side with 10 Gbe and 40 Gbe/IB fiber for desktops and servers It's funny watching the "prosumer" industry slowly catch up 25/5 Gbe is as least one decade late And too late for those like myself, who gave up waiting long ago and moved on to fiber Copper stinks, plain and simple
