the way reign of chaos to wotlk lore played out was good But it would be nice if we got a bronze drake show as an alternate universebrbrits such a sad and tragic story for Arthas, imagine if he didn't turn into the lich king, he would have been the king of Lordaeron and Uther as the Lich King A student defeats his teacher with tears and sorrow Uther was basically a father figure for him, of righteousness and what is good but he ends up falling for evil There must always be a lich king? Nah, Arthas would go on a journey of cleansing the world killing all the undead to clean up his teacher's messbrbrArthas could also be the alter ego of Varian and how he displeases the horde; Arthas would be the kind and generous one who sees eye to eyebrArthas could also be the new teacher for AnduinbrArthas and Jaina could have gotten married, have a kid named after uther or llyanebrintroduce power of love plot armor or sacrificebrbrthere was so much good opportunities we could have explored

here's the thing - this is exclusively about Arthas part as the lich king - it's not about Ner'zhul or any other part of the lich king that's what's interesting brWhat's interesting is the corrupted prince and the duality in how he thinks he's doing the right thing how he was brought up as prospect king to handle the responsibilities and difficult decisions and how that nobility has been corrupted into this twisted immortal beingbrDeath was always this unjust tragedy to Arthas and he's gained dominion over it he seeks to give the whole world immortality - albeit as undead, probably rotting beings, but immortality nonetheless He thinks he's gifting the world a solution to it's greatest injustice THAT'S the appealing villain, because we get to see the consequences of his actions, the corruption of his soul in his pursuit of this twisted but in his perspective just cause us being the heroes to his villainy - in storytelling, we need to prove him wrong, or we're just putting down an animal
