This is making me want to book a winter trip to Canada I know it's weird but I loooove having to wear this many layers, it makes me feel organised and like I've got my life togetherbrI always tuck my thermal top into my leggings - it's not the most attractive look but my god is it comfy Oh and big knickers are a must brBasically, I think I must be the only 26 yr old that likes dressing like a practical Grandma Comment from : warahbarm |

I wish you would use and support more ethical and sustainable brands and not 'fast fashion' or ' high street' stores For example, for all of your base layers you use I'm sure you could find all of these pieces by a sustainable and ethical brand such as 'Icebreaker ' Everlane really isn't that ethical or sustainableall of their alpaca sweaters are blended with synthetics you don't mention that And their Pima cotton ( all cotton) they use are GMO and not organic so very unsustainable and unethical For the price of other items you purchase you could afford to purchase from many of the truly sustainable brands ie, for sweaters Onling and there are so many others Comment from : Sarah Thatcher |
Pima cotton is valued for its durability, because longer fibers mean a softer and stronger fabric, it's also highly resistant to pilling It is originally from Perú Also alpaca is much more sustainable than cashmere FYI Comment from : Cote Moraga |
Too many layers Emma you would be in danger of combusting 😁 Comment from : Clare Meldrum |
Siberia ready 🙈🤣😘brGot the thermals, love them Comment from : Ana R |
You presented very useful layered winter outfits Thank you very much Comment from : smaragd51 |
As someone who lives in a hot climate this many layers is giving me anxiety! Comment from : IKnowRight |
One dilemma for me is always that here in my school, it’s SO WARM inside that if I do layering and only take off one layer after going inside, I’d sweat so much So in the coldest days of winter I usually just wear a very warm and plain ski jacket plus a sweater and a T-shirt underneath The coldest days here can be -20 Celsius though, at that time all the fashion goes out of the window cuz I need to be alive hahahah Comment from : Elaine Wang |
amazing! thank you so much for this im going to europe in january/feb next year and I live in Brisbane Australia so dressing for the cold in a whole other world to me! This was so helpful Great tips to keep warm with some awesome pieces xx Comment from : tastic88 |
The irony of my watching you put on layers of winter clothing while I swelter in Australian summer weather (41c today) is not lost on me 😅 Comment from : Kristy L |
Amazing video just started watching your channel and loving all the layering tips being from Canada these will come in handy Not to many u tubers get being cold and trying to look fashionable its certainly not easy Keep up the great videos! Comment from : Christie Mierow |
Ultra warm for the win! Would be perfect for sled riding and ice skating on the lake! Perfect for someone like me who doesn't like a super thick coat while shoving snow! Thanks for the video! Good timing! Not a fan of cold legs or bum Comment from : skylilly1 |
Great tips thank you! Here in BC we have that bone chilling damp type of weather I will often wear a down sweater or they are also called packable down jacket as a layer They are very thin but under a water proof coat I am toasty warm Like you I love a good long warm scarf Comment from : Colleen Barlow |
Again Emma, you gave us realistic content that actually help in real f* cold winter! One question, how many thermal do you have? I feel like I never have enough lol Comment from : Yasmine Saih |
Oh Comment from : Thai Pham |
Good tips once you pass the Everlane adI can’t handle seeing another Everlane ad from my favorite YouTubersEverlane, please stop Comment from : Galina M |
I live in Stockholm so layering is a must I received the Uniqlo thin vest for Christmas last year and it has honestly saved me It's so warm and easy to layer underneath jackets, even thinner jackets And it folds up so you can keep it in your purse! SO SO useful! Highly recommend xo Comment from : Wild child |
Me ‘taking notes’ ok let’s try it - put on as many clothes as possible (rushes to try on what I have) ‘ok I’m gonna need to size up one or two on the outer layers I can’t move!’ Didn’t think that through lol Comment from : Laura |
I think this layering idea is great if you're going to be outside for a fair bit and want to still look fashionable My personal approach on really cold days is thick socks in boots, toque, gloves, scarf and a long parka The parka simplifies things - it's one piece I can take off so I don't melt on transit/indoors, rather than removing multiple layers Comment from : Natatata |
This video is super!!!!! I wear thermals every day for work plus my layers , couldn’t think of leaving the house without them 😁👍icebreaker tops are great also m&s thermals Comment from : Patricia Marticorena |
How big do you buy your coats to fit over the layers? Comment from : Susannah Costain |
Wonderful, thanks! Comment from : Silvia Sauc |
❤️👍😘 Comment from : graziella hayet |
Aritzia had a scarf last year (idk if it’s still available) that looks just like the Acne scarf but is much more affordable and it’s soft and warm! Comment from : Lizzie Wing |
Thanks for the tips! Im from Canada and we have to layer a bunch to be able to walk outside during the winter Have you tried base layers from Ice breaker or Smart wool? Way much better than Uniqlo heattech because they’re 100 wool I find heattech not breathable as the base layer Comment from : Michelle Tong |
Hi emma If possible could you do how to wrap your scarfs ? Just bought the skinny Canada scarf it’s fab but so long Happy Sunday X Comment from : Elizabeth Hogg |
Great tips especially if you are out walking around outside for a long period of time I have lived all over the US and experienced colder temps in Texas before I traveled to ALASKA🥴❣️ wish I had seen this video at the time Good job Emma girl 👍❤️💃❣️ Comment from : Tree Flan |

Love this video I actually didn’t know that about layerings socks I layer my 10year sons socks when he’s playing football in the winter He always comes back to me saying “Mummy I can’t feel my feet” I thought it was the cold but now know I’ve cut off the circulation on his poor little feet Emma thank you for that tip alone Also top tip as well for any body that’s interested Pennys (otherwise known as Primark) have Over the Knee socks that are the things ever They have thin ones and thicker ones with wool content I have lots of pairs of these and absolutely love them and best of all cheap as chips I have to say I’m not big into layering myself - I find it very uncomfortable (I can’t stand the bulked up feeling) I’m a long sleeve therma heat vest and thin knit kind of girl Over that I wear lightweight feather and down coat But I love your style Emma and could watch you all day talking about clothes Comment from : Angela |
Thank you for this! I recently just moved to Michigan from CA and in desperate need of layering help Comment from : MzMD |
layering is the reason I love winter fashion so much, get that wear out your clothes! experimente with lengths, thickness and textures plus looking super cozy, huggable and cute or in the other hand super smart!brvery good video Emma, very helpful borderline utilitarian lol you guys make me wish it was winter again! Comment from : cho |
love the uniqlo heattech range as well! bought a few items because of you already 😅👍🏻 brand i’m loving the acne canada scarf, too! 😍 but i actually prefer the more narrow size (around 40cm width) the biggest size is 80cm width which is just too much for me to fit around my neck i feel like i‘m suffocating 😂 acne also do a skinny scarf version (25cm width) that‘s as long as the toteme scarf i love that version as well! ☺️🙌🏻 very versatile and go with everything! they also do the best colors in my opinion 🥰 Comment from : Taychill |
I'm from The Bahamas and will be visiting Chicago for xmas, so this video was SUPER HELPFUL for an island girl like me😁🙌 Thank you! Great video as alwaya Comment from : YellowLouise |
Are you in London or Antarctica?😂 Comment from : KIM JOHNSON |
