4:55 it depends, I was supposed to work as a software recruitment Assistant so I applied since that would help me on the future to work as Software Engineer, and on the real job I am a Healthcare recruitment Assistant, I learn a lot of stuff but not related to what I wanted and I can't leave now til I get a new job and for that I need to be at the place for 6 months at least to not look bad on the curriculum :/

Tbh, I could see "you look great" being said to an interviewer also seeming kinda creepy, especially if it's from a much older person to a younger person :/ It may be meant to be a genuine compliment and not leading to being asked "what's your phone number" or "let's go out for dinner", but idkIt can be seen wrong, especially if this same thing may had been said by a former creepy person in the same process You honestly just never know if someone's trying to lead up to something or if they could even be known for this behavior, and if you're not careful, you could potentially hire a creep if you were flattered enough

I suggest 5 copies of your resume be brought to your interview Sometimes, other staff or managers maybe asked to join the interview or there's a panel or group interviewing you; don't assume it will only be 1 person

Weird thing the "dont talk negative advice" I did take but the VP kept telling me to tell him and continued to ask me to tell him as he used to work at the same place and knew how bad the facility was I still didnt get the job and will rememeber next time to not trust anyone and stay positive about everything!!!

Today I had to ask about the salary and length of contract because they asked if I am interested for 2 roles When I heard the salaries I said none of them because I can not leave with this salary, I never took my resume I sent it If they do not have it, its a red flag for me It seems that they are not organised

The location, actual key job description, pay range, vacation, 401k, and medical/ dental/ vision should all be understood prior brbrAnd I love how everyone always wants to be lied to brWhy are you leaving your current role? Lie through your teeth brbrFrom what I've seen again and again and again hiring managers and especially hr have very little understanding of what they actually need brbrYes we get irritated when we've spelled things over and over and over again I've been asked the same question by the same person 4 times The first 3 times I was upbeat, the fourth I explained how I answered it the previous 3 times and am doing so again in hopes that we can move forward I still kept it positive but I can tell when someone is just trying to weed out vs finding someone to grow with Jobseekers market, not the other way around anymore

I would never use the "I see myself sitting in your chair/at your position" answer to the 5 year question Its obnoxious, not confident You can express the same thing by saying something like:"At a high managment position in your company" or even add "at the level of your position" but to say to someone u will like dethrone them is wierdly personal lol, too unprofessional
