Borderlands 2 has more engaging characters, a better story, better antagonist, better writing, better humour and although 3 has impressive visuals, 2 still looks pretty damn good Also some of the character design (Moxxi, Tina) looks very off on 3, the style of the faces has changed and looks worse

Can someone please recommend me if at all borderlands 1 is required for story alone? Especially fora totally newcomer for borderlands franchise? Borderlands 3 does not have better gameplay Just because you can slide and vault obstacle does not mean better gameplay The anointed guns were a horrible idea If it a gun has an anointed text that doesn’t fit your build it’s useless The end game of 2 was at least enjoyable and properly used the slag mechanic while mayhem mode is just annoying with it random modifiers
