After about 15 hours of pure combat i can beat whole main story without dying On The hardest diff Tbh its pretty dispointing Like being able to beat 30 lvl leshy with 6 lvl gear on deathmarch

Honestly, after seeing and experimenting for myself on different difficulties along with potions and signs, I think that the easiest setting is what the game was actually designed for That is the only time your strength and durability fit in with the lore, signs become useful utilities, elixirs give you a notable advantage, and the effect of oils can really be felt Especially against bosses On anything harder, those things merely level the playing field instead of giving you an advantage even though their entire purpose is to grant advantages And the game heavily emphasizes the story Oh, and easy mode means you don't have to constantly scrounge for food and loot poor peasants (unless your Elder Scrolls kleptomania never left you) but the food does remain useful for conserving potion doses and not having to meditate Plus, the combat is a kinda poorly thought-out hybrid of Dark Souls and Arkham City styles of fighting The main problem is probably that your inputs do not affect your opponents' behavior so instead of looking a like a pretty, choreographed fight it ends up with your movements being frequently interrupted, which is just frustrating on anything above easy peasy mode Well, that and it's just stupid to have a witcher rolling around instead of side-stepping and pirouetting (the books do describe Wolf fighting as being like a dance of swords) Hence why the E3 Dodging mod is veeeery nice (much like how the Bloodborne Dash mods massively improves the flow of combat in Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring)

deathmarch isnt that hard on 2nd playthough i didnt that and did all dlcs for the first time there was only a couple of times i stuggled but got there in the end like the frog prince guy and the high vampir at the end of blood and stone

I've finished it 3 times death march, even the difficulty before that doesn't restore health either only it's more realistic If you're a legendary witcher it shouldn't take 12 hits to kill a damn drowner I do not think deathmarch is good unless you play the OP alchemy build

I was always playing games on normal difficulty but I was getting bored pretty quickly from lack of any challenge Now when I start games I try out on almost highest difficulty, and while I never played Witcher before I decided to go with Blood and Broken Bones It's still kind of easy, so I try get some kind of challenge from contracts with enemies 5-10 levels higher Long story short I regret not going with Deathmarch, I see there is a huge difference in enemies' bonus dmg and hp compared to difficulty I'm playing on brOr maybe everything is just too easy after finishing Elden Ring brMy impression is that in Witcher enemies have very few movement sequences and are easy to be avoided and/or predicted, although these wolves are kind of scary, I always found it much easier to fight 1 super strong guy rather than a pack of weaklings (unless you 1 shot all of them)
