I am a bit upset you left out the quality prons of CRT monitors, with them being crisp at any resolutions and ability to produce contrast colors with darkest black and having high refresh rate (being responsive)

great explanation However, low response time in monitors doesn't always mean less ghosting Ghosting in VA monitors are awful compared to IPS or TN even tho they have same or lower response time

Crazy to think it wasn't that long ago I bought an Alienware 27in IPS 200hz 1440p monitor for 1000 bucks Now you can get an Alienware 32in 160hz OLED 1440p monitor for 900 bucks

you forgot how ips and va have the worst fucking quality control in history, literally ALL 10 OF EITHER I've tried have defects Myabe the tech is supposed to give better colors, but if you have to sit through the backbleed its like comparing a burger to a lobster with SHIT smeared on it Unfortunately a lot of IPS simps will still eat shit

Gaming is not only about refresh rates or response time , It's all in one category , Image quality true colors , accuracy , sharpness and everything , so i would recommend to use an Ips monitor or oled , don't buy the behind ones of these two

Nowadays we barely see TN monitors for sale, only if you look for really cheap monitors Most gaming monitors that have faster response times and higher refresh rates are using VA panels But we can find many IPS panels with decent response time and refresh rates, but they are generally more expensive than the VA ones with same specs Another thing to mention is that VA panels usually have a better constrast ratio compared to IPS, they have darker blacks, on IPS displays the black is more like a darker gray (I have a IPS monitor)

Really good video but very important note: MOST VA PANELS ARE NOT GOOD FOR GAMINGbrThey have better blacks and the color are still decent enough compared to an ips but they have very slow response times when the background is black which leads to insane amounts of ghosting For now the only exception to this rule are the Samsung g7/g8/g9

i feel like i have just watched some teacher's power point presentation Newer LCDs have 3-5ms response time, which is neglectable How did you forget to say about OLED burn-ins? Its a huge disadvantage for a long term usage

The term "LED monitor" is misleading, as the LED is to produce black light only, unlike OLED to produce the actual lighted pixel, or we should call the old type LCD monitor "Fluorescent monitor" ! also note that, some cheap so called "4K" monitor is just downsizing the image, does not have enough pixel to display 4K !

Iirc OLED still requires a RGB filter since the light source cant produce colours yet, only white light Though several companies are working on that
