This is the best dirt cheap way to generate some wallets With some more research, you can learn how to create two tails usbs (one offline signer and one online) The one that stays offline can still sign transactions in an air-gapped way, while the online one can view and broadcast transactions The way they showed works just fine, though, especially if you do not plan to move funds from the wallet

I'm missing something here I'm familiar with Tails It saves NOTHING I'm obviously incorrect thinking that the wallet is a dataset file of some sort Sobr1) Once you close Tails, what happens to the wallet you just created?br2) How do you get coins into the wallet?br3) What good is it if you cannot take coins out of the wallet?

At 1530 you go to the receive tab and in that window there is a 'receiving address' field, my version of Electrum does not have this Obviously I can't proceed without it, any suggestions?

Is there a way to CLONE your cold storage wallet even if you cant encrypt it? I'm FAR more worried about a USB drive failing than I am someone getting my USB I can control access to my USB stick with being discrete and a vault I CANT control when USB fails (and they have commonly failed me in the past)

OK, I'm a noob, but I boot up Tails, open Electrum and my wallet is disappeared I figure that since I disabled persistence, my wallet file gets wiped when I close Tails I guess I have to create a new wallet every time I want to use it, using my seed phrase Why no mention of this in the video? That's quite an oversight

Anyone considering putting their bitcoins only on one usb drive be very, very careful! USB flash are known to fail For your own good put your precious crypto on multiple flash drives not just one and store them at multiple secret locations not just your house!

Very good video, the only part I would disagree a little is the very last part, handling the seed is a delicate process it is best to use for emergencies, at that point you are better off using that same tailsos with a trezor T, ledger X, or coldcard, coldarcard mk3 is the most secure and uses electrum as the wallet, all 3 can use electrum as the wallet
