If you compare a crappy controller with an original controller, the price vs the quality has no dispute But when you compare an original controller with a Pro/Edge/Elite controller, the HUGE price gap vs the benefits don't justify the investment for probably 99 of the players Many probably buy it anyway just for bragging rights and never take fully advantage of it

I have the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller And I honestly hate itbrToo heavy and the choice of using rubber for the grip is just pointless on a controller in my opinionbrSome people can actually be allergic or have an intolerance for rubber that can irritate your skinbrAnd it leaves a sticky residue that is hard to wash off

Never gotten along with back buttons, either pushing the back button throws my aim off or accidental presses during intense moments Not saying they're a bad idea, just I haven't found an implementation that fits me

Plastic sticks on a $200 controller is concerning It doesn't matter if there's a stick ring to reduce it, they will still grind down over use, and eventually it will mess with the stick mechanism

you should never use acceleration curves for modern games in the controller it is better to use the ones built into the game, otherwise they will overlap scuf like controller should definitely be standard and not premium otherwise we will be ripped off by the manufacturers nice controller but the price is disgusting

As for the paddles, the Edge really loses out to the Elite, as the Elite can have four paddles at once installed and mapped, and as for use cases, there are more than just competitive gaming; I for example use my Elite Controller for Racing Games, be they Arcade or Sim-ish, to map manual gear shifts to the rear paddles, which not only is a nice nod of the head to many modern flappy paddle gearboxes in real cars, it more importantly allows you to shift gears manually without ever having to let go of either thumbstickbrbrSimilarly in other games, I map stuff from the regular face buttons to the paddles so I can use those without having to let go of camera control, and the biggest feature of them all for me is when I don't like the default mapping of a game, like putting Light Attack on RB for example, which I hate, as RB is such a wimpy haptic button, so I simply put it on a paddle in the back

As someone with big hands and lots of grip strength, those adaptive triggers are just a gimmick to me no matter how high a game sets the resistance, even without consciously trying, I always immediately fully depress the trigger sure I feel some resistance, but it's not like actual iresistance/i to overcome I'd really have liked it if Sony had offered multiple force profiles, instead of just tuning it to children's fingers

I was considering getting one since my PS5 controller recently got stick drift after lasting a year and a halfbrbrAfter thinking about it, I decided to pass because, someone can simply purchase a regular brand new controller every year and a half… that’ll last someone almost 5 years plus not have to worry about battery degradation for the same price as one dualsense edge… shame because it seemed neat but the price isn’t justified

Just buy a second controller I was kinda made to to get my PS5 within months of launch and it's been one of the best gaming lifestyle improvements I've had since controllers when wireless Just have them on rotated duty, one on charge one playing

I’m really disappointed that it costs more than the Xbox elite controller yet it doesn’t even compare to the battery life brbrIn my personal experience with the Xbox elite series 2 I rarely ever charge it For the almost year of having it, I probably only had to charge it twice 0-100 for it having a dead battery (granted I do have it mainly laying on it’s charging dock) brbrMy experience with the regular dual sense typically during half the time of using it have to stop my game and plug it in to resume playingbrbrI really wish Sony would of actually jumped to the chance to at least increase it to 25 hours of battery life

I think the controler is worth it and i havent gotten stick drift since i got it when it came out I play the game almost every day and if you dont get food or cigarette smoke and dust into the joystick u wont really get drift But the rubber on the backof the controller does turn slightly yellow over time even though i had disenfectant wipes and cleaned it often it still turned a little yellow but its barley noticable

$200 and no hall sensing sticks Hard pass for me That is just plain greed on Sony’s part You can’t call it premium if you’re still using self destructing joysticks when an excellent alternative has existed for quite a while brbrI just picked up the King Kong 2 Pro controller from Gulikit for about $60 to use for some PC games and the sticks are excellent brbrI actually really like the Dual Sense controller and if the Edge had decent sticks, I could potentially see buying one but you just don’t cut costs like that on critical components when you’re trying to sell something as a premium product They went to the trouble to make swapping stick modules easy but equipped it with inferior modules in order to sell you new ones every few months or years

Can you guys do a honest review on the PS5 Razor Wolverine v2 pro controller! I just purchased one from my local gamestop for €130 and the only reason I got it for that price is because gamestop is leaving Ireland The controller is normally €300 here so I watch a few reviews online and they were all were positive, but I've had it a few days now and it's the biggest pile of s**t there is! There is no way this control should be €300 if anything is like a €60 to €70 controller and no one online is saying anything bad about it so I wonder if everyone is being paid off by Razor! I also honestly don't think any pro controller can beat the xbox series 2 👍🏻

I would say it is worth getting if it had good battery life the one thing I love about the Xbox elite controller is that it lasts up to 40 hours I don't use it anymore on Xbox but I do use it on pc it tells me it's low around end of a campaign steam says I play around 34 hours

The Dead Zone ajustements are very different on PC or on console games, on the PC The Deadzone are mostly 0 and on the console are the Deadzone between 10 15, but my favorite Deadzone are around 3 to 5brA Fast Player never have problem with Stick drift, When I look around The Stick Drift are not noticeable And only camper look all the time on the same place

if you think about it, sony engineers had no other option but to use a smaller battery to make room for for all the extra button hardware whilst still keeping the same size controller profile, which hand comfort is way more important
