I live in North central Texas From May-October, it ranges from 70-100 degrees with high humidity Many days in July, August & September the highs are in the upper 90’s, with several days climbing to over 100 But I always carry a lightweight jacket for grocery stores, restaurants, and other stores, with ceiling fans on high & AC systems set in the lower 60s! For those of you who really can't handle the heat, I recommend looking for dresses made of rayon challis (The tag will say 100 rayon, and it is a non-stretchy woven, smooth, lightweight fabric) I have a couple of maxi dresses in this fabric that are wonderful - you almost feel like you're wearing nothing 👀 but they cover what I want coveredbrFinal tip: I always hold dresses up to the light or in front of a window to make sure they are opaque enough Because I'm not a fan of slips

Hawai'i is my year around warm climate and I find your monochromatic color scheme is the perfect way to look cool I love white linen but also pastels in peach, pink and pale blue The colors I see you wear a lot At nearly 70 I do not wear shorts but light weight slim, not tight pants with a more flowing blouse and mid-length skirts look chic and always jewelry to add some shine and texture Loved the idea of a scarf tied to a handbag for some color and pattern With long hair, up during the day is a must and have been incorporating some color there too with a scarf or hair accessories There are some truly beautiful ones available and I have quite a collection I found your mix of whites both interesting and helpful

Great post! I too moved here from up North (Northeastern PA) and Im struggling with looking pulled together and not too layered in the brutal heat of Charleston My absolute FAVORITE season for clothes is fall/winter-naturally But I’m really trying to embrace the beauty and climate in which I live I agree thot every season holds great fashion-even if I favor the cooler months! I think what you have recommended is here spot on It’s classic and seasonally correct I really loved the maiden style top and THAT DRESS! The dress was so feminine and light-beauuuutiful Perfect I vote yes to the seasonal spotlight I know you’ll recommend great pieces that will be timeless ❤️
