I preferred Gracie by far Like the commentators said, Gracie appeals to an audience And here Evgenia falls so short of that Evgenia lacks art at times and I find other skaters more interesting to watchbrThis is the flaw in Russian skating They put out these new YOUNG girls each year They need to make investments and give these girls the attention and FULL training they deserve Stop looking for the next big star for the moment I think if Russia truly would just focus on skaters in a long term vision they would be very memorable and breathtaking But athletes need to be honed and that takes time

Medvedeva has a natural grace but she has a long way to go If you look at her leg positions they are almost always apart and askew - like al skaters without full control Her footwork, her transitions, the qualitiy of skating is not near Gracie's I don't quibble about her win its the ISU judging I can't understand
