Can't wait to get this dirt cheap at some point At the moment in my country - this AM4 CPU costs the same as upgrading to an AM5 motherboard, buying 32GB of DDR5 RAM AND buying a AMD Ryzen 5 5700x That's insane and not a viable upgrade path for people like me still on AM4 lol

Got mine for $54900 So that's roughly 061 instead of 078 in September 2020 waited till the dust settled main use Flight sim 2020 in vr i7- 7700 and 6700xt struggled to get 20 frames in 1080 or 1440 for that matter neither were capable to do the job without motion sickness from tearing and jitters ended up building a new machine 980 pro m2 5950x 6900x water cooled 850 gold psu in a 4000d air flow, 64 gb 4000 vengeance still waiting on argb fans and graphics card to show Sunday I'll know what my hard earned money produced thanks for the vid !!!

My cinebench score is average 25500 with my Ryzen 9 5950x, on Msi's x570 gaming cheaper chipset mobo 2 of my 16 cores are boosting (stock) to 4999MHz at 547c As well my single core is 1706 Why am I getting much better performance with the same chip and worse mobo? Golden chip? I found out i have 4 cores that are all nearly tied for 1st-2nd place for preffered by windows 10 did I get lucky or is it the software allowing this

The inability to run Windows 7 on this processor because of lack of motherboard drivers is really hindering the adopting of this processor brat my company Now Windows 7 motherboard support is a real deal breaker for a lot of people It really doesn't matter how fast a processor is if it can't run your company's chosen workhorse operating system Windows 11 is absolutely unusable for anything

visiting this vid after a year, i upgraded from 3700X to 5950X, its now hovering around 600$ which is a great price for this CPU, i'm gaming at 1440p and doing content editing and software development, i have been using it for 2 days now, its alot better than the 3700X in every way you can think of, games feel alot smoother even at 1440p, getting around 10 more FPS, also whatever i throw at it with tons of programs opened, it never hangs or stallsbrbrso its definitely worth the upgrade in every way

Whenever I use AMD cpu's I have issues with stability I never have with brIntel I love the speed of my 5950x but I'm about to return it for the brslower 11900k just for the reliability It could be just me or I'm sure Ibr could tinker and research but I have business to take care of This hasbr been the case for decades now with AMD graphics or Cpu's I value brstability

Some motherboards have a possibility to leave some cores on AUTO, while overclocking all others without syncronizing cores So you get more performance in multicore workloads and also have 2 cores boosting over your fixed OC frequency All I had on my x570 elite is giving different CCD-s different OC per core, The best performing 2 cores I have are on 445Ghz OC on my 3900x, 4- are on 43GHz, and worst ones are on 42GHz, all on 133V with load balancing 8233 points score in R20, I had 8000 on 425GHz all core OC I love AMD for how they let us tune the system, with every bios update tons of new settings arrive, I bet 5950x will remain the king for AM4 socket Wonder what optimization they will use in 6950x to get that IPC improvement with DDR5 :)

The AMD upgrade path is pretty amazing I got a b450 board with a Ryzen 5 1600 and the same board now supports the 5950x So 2-3 years down the line when the 5950x is half the price, gonna snatch it up On a $70 Gigabyte board!

Well the rx 6000 series gpus were quite a disappointment, they are well above MSRP, have poor rtx performance and suck at rendering and encoding, compared to Nvidia

I bought Asus crosshair formula VIII, Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB, 32GB of F4-4000C17D-16GTRS GSkill memory, Asus RTX 3090 OC, and all this is stopped in a corner waiting for my paid Ryzen 9 5950X by 14 days running at 0 ghz because the store sell it to me without stock! So 5950X is THE MOST SLOW GAMMING PROCESSOR IN THE WORLD because if I have choosed intel 10900k or even an Intel i7-5820K i would be gamming by 14 days now and Ryzen is nothing more than a fraud! >:\

I just decided to check out the floatplane site, so I signed up I love that Dark Hero board, too And a core heavy processor is ideal if I want to get back into "multiboxing" EVE-Online (running like 6 instances of the game on one PC) Good chance the PC I'm going to build in January has a 5900x or 5950x (though come on, it'll be the latter for sure) and whichever card is better, the 6800xt or the 3080 The 3090 is pointless

Performance is amazing but it's not true that you can put 4 generations of Ryzen on the same motherboard When Zen1 was released there was no B450/X470 or X570 motherboards on the market so to be able to run today's Zen3 you needed to replace mobo from b350/x370 at least once (to b450 with solid vrm and hope that it will get new agesa update in Q1 2021) Otherwise now everyone is forced to buy B550/X570

Hi Steve, suggest you retest everything with DDR 3800 cl14 or cl15 ram as the 3200mhz cl14 is bottlenecking the 5000 series ryzens
