I hate you for making me think this would be fun I can balance if I'm moving even super slow but I can never balance on things standing still I watch other people balance on chairs for thirty seconds or more and I can try for hours and never get more than a few seconds When I'm moving I swear I have superb balance but my static balance is trash Comment from : @Monjar3 |

A good tip, but nothing new to this exercise trials guys have been doing it for decades we usually teach the exercise by turning the front wheel to the left or right about 30degrees or so which makes it a lot easier to get the feel of the weight and you also form sort of a triangle between you and the bike and can counter weight much easier I'm just a fat old novice but I can remain motionless on my gasgas 280 for several minutes or until my legs start to burn can't do it quite that long on the KTM 530, but it absolutely makes a difference on tight single track Comment from : @robnewman19 |

Just a tip -- While no body position is 100 all the time as you should be moving all over to account for the terrain, your balancing position is a bit off You should be standing with your legs straight up and down, knees bent, leaned forward, butt back, gripping your bike with your legs That will make it way easier to balance, especially if you turn your handlebars to one side and apply the brakes If you push your knees into the tank like you're doing, it's making it a little easier because you're controlling the bike better with your legs, but you are moving your weight a bit too far forward which causes other problems brbrDon't believe me? Great video I have done this exercise often to train for trials riding You cannot have too much balance! for me with a new bike (and being new to motorbikes, coming from pushies) i rode around the back yard as slow as possible, and built some basic obstacles i could both roll over at a crawl or wheely/jump over, and am doing that every day i can, for a good 20min-1h being my bike is electric helps too (dont piss off the neighbours, even at 11pm) but ive found my balance on a unfamiliar bike has improved enormously in just a couple of weeks Comment from : @sn0wchyld |

I like it! it's hard to find time to ride more than once or twice a week, but I will challenge myself to find 20 minutes a few times a week to do this! I've done this exercise many times before over the winter, but never thought to count the dabs! Thanks! Comment from : @PrimalEnduro |

Excellent video! Great tips I just came in from training slow speed balance on my KTM 525sx I ride in 1st gear as slow as possible in figure 8 circles at full steering lock as much as possible, (standing of course) This is something I saw Gram Jarvis doing in an instructional video on here that trains bike and body balance, throttle, and clutch control This was also really cool because I have a small yard and neighbors This allows me to train with little space and little time as well!
