Sorry but none of these will work Even the author acknowledges that they are, at most, antimicrobial His simplistic logic is that if you keep the plant healthy, it'll grow roots on its own It doesn't work that way You need some way to trick the mature cells into thinking that they are rooting cells and the only way to do that is with hormones Since they are mature, they will no longer produce natural rooting hormones which is why you need artificial hormones to stimulate rooting Indole-3-butyric acid is the main ingredient of all commercial rooting hormones brbrMost of these make no sense but one will likely kill your cutting Do not expose your cutting to vinegar, even diluted vinegar As the author correctly points out, vinegar is an herbicide, eg weedkiller If it can kill weeds, which are very hardy, what will it do to your delicate cutting?
