June 2022 I was able to get the 5900x to reach on average 187fps on Shadow of the Tomb Raider,same settings as in the video, Ultra at 1080p Funny thing is I did that by lowering the voltage only At stock it was running to hot and my rx 6800xt wasn't even getting to 70 usage at times Running Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1440p max settings was getting me like 120 fps, immediately after lowering the voltage I am getting on average 154 fps I just wonder if this is normal To be honest my pc case doesn't help much It is nice looking but horrible for airflow,even with a 240mm water cooler radiator,3 exhaust fans and 3 intake front fan was getting the 5900x to 90c degrees all the time when playing games the cpu was basically holding back the gpu Should I assume is the cooler I have the culprit? I can't get the cpu pass 40 Ghz without reaching 93c degrees in seconds

Our hardware tech dept tried running Windows 7 in a virtual box insidw Windows 11 on a 5900x so we could maximize it and not even think Windows 11 abortion was there It just did not work out Whatever gains you got by running a Ryzen were lost by having to run Windows 7 in a virtual box

I just upgraded from a Ryzen 7 3700x to a Ryzen 9 5900x, which I purchased for $370 usd " as it had bent pins " All pins work now and the upgrade Is definitely noticeable I am thankful for the review,the stats definitely reflect my overall personal experience both in games and making small videos

I don't really care about gaming performance as I will always be gpu limited, but I do architectural modelling on softwares like rhino and a lot of rendering on vray and similar softwares I have an msi tomahawk and an arctic 280mm cooler but i currently only run a 3700x I have 16gb or 3600 ram, should i get the 5950x or rather the 5900x? how big of a perfomanc difference will i notice? Thnks

I recently got a ryzen 9 5900x and when I do a run of cinebench r20 the clocks are 4150Mhz for multi core and 4800Mhz for the single thread… my temps are really low but I noticed the vcore while I’m having the multicore test if a lot lower 1,160 volt Is that a problem or just how behaves my CPU…??

Because of demand and availability, the 5000 series is selling well above msrp Due to the current climate, pandemic silicon shortage etc Intel looks very compelling That said, if the market was normal, AMD chips would probably have had slashed prices For now, its overpriced However, if Ryzen didn't bring competition, the i3 would be sold as an i7

Open your blind eyes please, in New Zealand which is so close to AZ, 10900k sold for NZ$680, $5900x sold for NZ$9xx and you can't buy it for last 5 months , so Which CPU is RIP? Use Brain if you do have one!

I'm so confused, i have the 5900x, rtx2080, 4 dimms 64gb ram @ 3600, godlike x570, nvmes all over the place, and both cpu and gpu on aio I get a total of 1500 what am i doing wrong ?! 😭 i'm not overclocking of course

so 10850K has been available all the time for 110-80$ lower since for ever, forget the 10900K, even Intel has I bought mine 10850K now for 4200:- SEK equals about 400$ when deducted our 25 VAT, also a 5900X cost 714$ here in sweden, about 535$ minus VAT, thats 135$ more

@16:04 Your chart mentions the average Vcore at 1238V, but according to HWMonitor, my recently acquired 5900X runs at 143V (BIOS says 144V) I double-checked the BIOS settings and everything is at stock/auto (DOCP on) My motherboard is an ASUS Strix X570-E Gaming with the latest non-beta BIOS version I wonder why the Vcore is so much higher than what's stated in your review herebrMaximum package temperature reaches 79C during gaming (with core 1-6 at 48GHz and core 7-12 at 47GHz)

Despite being a long-time PC gamer, and working with computers as a career, I had never had the funds to build my own completely from scratch I bjust/b received my 5900x, and was able to build the computer i'm now typing on I watched this video before, but had to come back to it for thermals comparisonsbrbrI'm hitting maximum spikes around 72 C, before dropping back down to around 63-65 under load Oddly enough though, I can hit around 60 C just doing things like downloading from steam It'll be chugging along at 25 usage, and it'll be averaging 57 or so But I hit it with an AIDA 64 100 stress test for 20 minutes and it averaged 63

Why are there only 1080p benchmarks here? It would have been so useful to see 1440p and 4k benchmarks as well so that people can decide whether or not the 5000 Series is worth the price increase or if the money is better spent in a better gfx card (spoiler alert, other reviews show these benchmarks and yes, the money IS better spent on a better gfx card ^^)

Im a bit underwhelmed We got told Zen 3 was the intel killer and I ordered a 5800x rather than the i9 10900 I had planned and in the average game test the 5900 and 5950 only managed to match it, not beat it And the latter is far more expensive
