Hey @Optimum Tech I've somehow gotten my hands on a 5800x and a Asus Tuf RTX 3080 but the mobo im using it with is the Asus Strix 570i Do you have any idea how to update the firmware for it to work with the 5000s CPU as i think thats the issue for me

hummm decisions decisions decisions I'm so torn between Ryzen 7 5800X, ryzen 9 3900x, ryzen 7 3700x, ryzen 5 3600, should I go big or go home or some the funds an go with the 3600, for now, an wait to see what AMD comes out with later on? idk, for light gaming, some editing an video streaming I'm thinking all I really need is the 3600! I got a question I can see that the Ryzen 9 5900x is getting more fps than the i9 10900k? But what if you overclock it to 53Ghz? It has to get more fps than it right? I got the i7 10700k and I oc'd it to 52GHz and I noticed a 5-10 difference in most of the games I got a good offer for my PC ( i7 10700k 2080 Super) and I wasn't sure if I sould get and rx 6800xt and a ryzen or get the i9 10850k which is 150$ cheaper and overclock it Thanks for your time

the 5600X is faster than the i9 10900k in gaming, and because it has only 6 cores, sometimes workloads with less threads it pulls even ahead of the 5900X and 5950X because it can boost clock more due to the less heat of less cores

With a 1700x and a vega 64 @ 1440p, I think I'll "just" upgrade to a 3700x or 3900x brSure the extra 10-15 performance gains would be awesome, but Ryzen 5000 costs extra AND I would need to get a whole new motherboard, which I wouldn't need to for a 3000 series
