What is that ferny plant in the corner of the tomato bed? I have some of those but I don’t know what they are! Comment from : Patricia Hambrook |

I always wonder why people use raised beds instead of planting in the ground, especially when they have plants covering most of the ground I bet he likes all the spacing between varieties, but he could space like that around in ground plants too One or two years and he could have all that soil packed with nutrients I’d think Comment from : whiteboy7thstsfanboy |

What is that taller plant in the corner of the tomato bed? Comment from : Tim Kaczmarek |

Gary, I'm wondering if I have time for peppers? I get stuck every year it seems It's only the end of May and I live in Southwest Virginia and I'm sitting here thinking how last year my peppers were just starting to really take off and produce well when the first frost came It was so sad! I've got to learn to get things going earlier Thank you Gary so much for all of the good guidance through the years I always run to your channel when I need to know how to do anything in the garden correctly I may just go ahead and direct sow the pepper seeds in my raised bed and put the hoops and net on to keep the squirrels and birds out I'm so excited to see all of my perennials coming back! If I've already planted my tomato plants yesterday and they're 14 inches apart and I wanted to move them to 18 you think they would be okay to move if I just planted them yesterday Comment from : Benjamin Mooradian |

Keep your hot and bell or poblano peppers significantly separated to avoid cross pollination which would ruin your hot peppers In other words, you don’t want hot pepper varieties to taste like non-hot peppers Comment from : John Hansen |

I tried out having two pepper seedlings in a pot and transplanting, or at transplanting time putting two pepper plants into the hole so they grew up together like you mentioned and had pretty great success with it I experimented by having single plantings of every kind near the doubles and there was no noticeable detriment to the growth of the doubles Definitely worth doing this in my opinion Comment from : Ryan P |

I'm really interested in trellises I've done a couple ways now trying to figure out what is best Also with cucumbers should I let them keep going out or trim up? The one I have going now has 8-9 leads heading out in all directions taking up a good 4x4' section of my raised bed Comment from : Bryan England |
