Shan Yu didn't give a damn that she was a woman and wouldn't need a woman telling him she was a warrior Shang wasn't a bully who tried to out Mulan for no good reason The lives of his men and the fate of China was always what drove his behavior Mulan wasn't more powerful than everyone she had to face She was cleverer Chinese fantasy movies are typically epic masterpieces Even the choreography in this is uninspired in comparison I refuse to watch something that, unlike Mulan in the animated movie, hasn't proven itself worthy

I find it interesting that they want to keep it within the more historical route so that’s why we didn’t get music, mushu or Shang since a lot of Chinese preferred it that way and here I am watching so many historical Chinese dramas with magic, gods, immortals, divine beast, powers etc😟 some of the Mulan dramas they make also has romance
