I think one of the reasons why Spider-Man 2 is the best in the trilogy (I also think it’s still the best superhero movie) is that the stakes are so high, higher than any of the others in the trilogy Norman is a fantastic villain but he doesn’t pose as much of a threat to the city as Doctor Octopus In the third one, all of the villains have simple “revenge” motives that have a grudge against Spider-Man and not much more Meanwhile Doctor Octopus and his motives has the potential to destroy ALL OF NYC!!!
