@failyourwaytothetop937
Only a driven, highly motivated loner could succeed with this method I feel only a tiny SUB-set of the population could effectively follow through with your well planned out, well written presentation of what is a study method which churns out resultsbrbrYet, for those who are "BODY" people, this methodology would not function at all! What do I mean by a "BODY" person? This applies to us who are highly expressive and perform our best when in direct contact with others in groups in constant interaction using the Feynman Method brbrUnfortunately, as you have stated in previous videos the highly destructive competitive nature of the path to becoming a doctor precludes the cooperative nature of what BODY people need and demand BODY people need to be active in a theatrical production modality to achieve their best results If information assimilation and retention is mandatory as is with the path to becoming a doctor, there can be no other way!!!

In lecture I always find it hard to Write notes 📝 The professor would just speak so fast that even if I put it into my own words I would still be missing somethingso what I would do is I would Follow along with what he was saying and highlight the important material that the professor would mention in my textbook

How I Study:br-Write Down Important Topics/Sub-Topics about Reading (I make sure to understand the reading and if I don’t I mark it)br-Type during Lectures and Ask about any Questions I havebr-Write down the notes I have from lecture in my own wordsbr-Go to Office Hours for anything left that I didn’t understandbr-Review every 3 days - 2 weeks depending on how well I understand the material

@vallasar6882
It has to be "the things I wish I HAD KNOWN in school"
Comment from : @vallasar6882

@haruny100
Flashcards! I can't stress this enough, they are the MOST important thing in the world, when in med school (if you want to have a life that is) Every other method of memorising information is inferior, as proven scientifically He mentions active recall and spaced repetition which is the best way to memorise, but if you want to have it organised for you, get anki because it is embedded into their algorithm There are also tons of add-ons you can get, my personal favourite being image occlusion, which allows you to turn a big diagram with loads of labels into a flashcard exercise by covering the name of the structure being pointed to (great for anatomy) brbrBrainscape is another good one, they recently improved their algorithm and are now rivelling anki but they charge There pro version is worth the 299 per month because there are extensive sets of flashcards available for pretty much everything and alot have been checked and edited brbrIf you take one word away from this messege, let it be the word flashcards!brbrGood luck studying!

@thomas02
something about test day: take a shit before you leave for the test Depending on your shit schedule you may not need this (eg if you're used to taking a shit in the evening) but the last thing you want to have happen during the test is your call of nature being as urgent as calls when you're on call
